💚 THANK YOU BELLA 💚 Hi all, Joanne here, a bit of a personal post. You may have noticed our Instagram has been quieter than normal over the festive period. Sadly I had a rough end to 2025, saying goodbye to my darling girl and big Tea Green boss 💚Bella💚 on the 21st of Dec. She was nearly 19 and has been by my side through it all, well before Tea Green. I’ve tucked her in since the day she was born and nearly every day since. She would’ve been by my side every minute of every day if she could. All she ever wanted was for her people to sit with her and I always looked forward to getting home from markets to be with her. I’ve spent so much of my life beside her, it could have been every minute of every single day and it still wouldn’t feel enough now she’s gone. I’m heartbroken, my world revolved around her. I wanted to make sure she was the most loved, comfiest & happiest girl. She really was a comfy girl, reaching levels us mere humans can only dream of! Never was she not tucked in, atop a fluffy blanket throne, with us sat with her. Especially in her last few years, she was very rarely without her people at home with her. I’m so grateful to Barry (mr Tea Green) for always being with her when I needed to be away. I’ve been dreading this for years, in the end her wee body couldn’t go on, her kidneys failing. I’m grateful she was able to pass peacefully in my arms with her 2 favourite people there with her. A small mercy that I was where I needed to be when she needed me most. My darling baby girl Bella. A queen with the most beautiful wee face, always wide eyed & looking for her people. A special wee soul & my soulmate. The most precious & magical purr. A sweetheart & a diva! A personality and character like a wee human, eye contact unlike any other cat I’ve ever met. We are forever so deeply connected & I’ll miss you forever. My devoted wee best pal, my baby, my purpose, my whole world. I’ll miss all her wee ways, I’m so thankful to have had you as my faithful wee companion, at my side through it all. I was blessed to be able to look after you for so long. A cliche but true, If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. 💔

Maker of the Year 2026 🥳🥳🥳 New Year is off to a flying start, and I am delighted and deeply honoured to share the news that I have been selected as the @visualartsscotland Maker of the Year 2026. This is the first year of this exciting new award and massive thanks to selector Joanne MacFadyen of @teagreenevents who I am very excited to be working with over the next year. “The selectors were deeply impressed by the clarity, refinement and sensitivity of your ceramic practice, in particular the way your pieces explore connection, memory, place and surface with such quiet depth and material intelligence.
