The last of the winter makes - two @stylearc #naomiwovendressfat My existing Naomi is my most worn make - so easy to throw on and comfortable enough for travel, smart enough for when you arrive. So I added a couple more to the collection - one with a @rainbowfabrickilburn viscose with these massive flowers and another @sherwoodsfabrics floral viscose. I always thread elastic through the channel so th dress continues to sit well all day, and with the green dress I omitted ties. Both are easy, throw on dresses that keep a bit of drama. #curvycovensews
Catching up with the winter sewing! I’ve lived in these @fabricgodmother #aspendressfat since I made them over the Christmas break - I added a facing at @preya_and_the_patterns ’ suggestion so I could wear the zip open, and omitted the chest pockets for simplicity. I adore them - so easy to throw on and wear and slightly warmer for the winter with the long sleeve. #curveycovensews
I’ve been sewing away all winter but I find it really hard to take photos then - shorter days mean there are vanishingly few moments when it’s light and I have clean hair and make up on and @edwardneillambert is available to take photos. So today we’ve had a marathon photo session and I’ll put them up over the next few days. This is my fourth @stylearc #bellewovendressfat - I made it to wear on Christmas Day with a cardigan but I’ll be wearing it all summer long. The viscose crepe has a lovely drape and I just adore this pattern, always and forever. #curveycovensews
First day of half term and a last minute day off. We *might* have bought Mcdonalds and eaten them in front of this view, before taking the shortest saunter along the shore. Sprog and I had a home spa day this morning - face masks and nails - and we’re planning to work out together later on, after she’s had some screen time and I’ve done some sewing. A lovely chilled day off.
My newest @babylonleather bag is done - again super rewarding - a wee bit trickier with a more structured bag but totally worth the effort. The quality of these kits is superb - you get both a craft project and a stunning bag you can actually use at the end of it!
For Christmas @edwardneillambert (under careful instruction) bought me a @babylonleather kit. It was the perfect craft kit - fun and challenging to make, rewarding seeing it come together, and the handbag at the end of it is truly beautiful, and truly useful. This Polene inspired number has become my everyday bag when I’m not in the office. I loved it so much I ordered myself another the second payday came along and I’m treating myself to starting it today.
