The final installment of my first Misshapen Studio Project concept.
With this final look, we truly lucked out on our high-level discussion of colours. Thankfully the descriptions matched what we brought and the cool, subdued tones of the look and the backdrop matched the tones of the mountain as we approached blue hour.
This final look needed to exist far from the previous ones. It had to feel soft but proud. Like a statement from someone who already knows who and what they are. We weren't looking for playful, we wanted confidence. Confidence to not make sense in its surroundings, yet still feel right.
Huge credit here to our stylist Deo for building something out that strayed away from our previous punchy streetwear/outdoor looks just the perfect amount, while helping us merge with the softer light.

Some more frames from this spring's conceptual shoot up on Mt. Seymour, as part of my Misshapen Studio Project.
I won't go into any details about the shoot (see part I) but I will say that this shoot did a lot for me in terms of understanding what are the most important pieces of gear to take up a mountain, and how best to bring pieces that are multi-use that enable the vision. As usual, the most crucial things i brought with me were incredible people, everyone contributed wonderfully to the project and we all have ownership over the results.
I feel like as I continue to find my voice creatively, it really fires me up when a concept comes to life and helps inject structure into a photographic style so that one can feel, critique, and appreciate it. Now, it's a challenge of finding people and brands open to leveraging that and collaborating, as well as pushing the boundaries of what my brain and equipment can do.

Welcome to the first few frames from a very fun and magical project we pulled off on the North Shore mountains. This shoot was a concept that was in my brain for a few months, but amazingly only took a few hours to actually put into action. How often can you get 5 people to get together for a next day creative lift like this on a spring long-weekend? Grateful for all of you.
This is part of my Misshapen Studio project, which is all about the intersection that happens in my brain from the creativity that I find in the outdoors and in the photo studio. It's something I want to be utilizing on a larger scale with different brands and other partners. My brain is on fire with it.
This shoot was all about bringing the raw and energetic looks that exist at the intersection of PNW streetwear, outdoor rec, and fashion editorial.

Got 3 days to explore Taiwan proper after a work trip. My goal was to experience the diversity this little island had to offer me and capture as much of it as I couldβ¦ and to catch as many vibes as always. Let me know how I did π«’
Sort of bought a camera with the intention of taking more video stills (which Im unintentionally stockpiling and will likely share on @vibertay ), but shooting flicks, & chasing fleeting moments has been quite lovely as well
this isnβt a targeted ad. Itβs just a highly uncurated series of photos that distills my life to singular frames. Non chronological events in my life that seem forever ago but still somehow close by. I enjoy looking through these old captures and putting together a select few that somehow gives essence in who I am and what I enjoy.
In summary itβs just a big dump of moments that I put on the internet late at night because thatβs the type of shit Iβm on ππΌππΌππΌπββοΈ
a beautiful life in moments

Guatemala p2 Thx to @peter_wan9 and @meesh.wang for allowing us to celebrate the loveliest wedding and getting to experience this beautiful country π₯°π π§π»
woke up at 3AM to the the sound of the earth shaking and looked out the cabin to see a once in a lifetime scene. (Last slide - shot from Jessβs iPhone) Stayed up all night letting Mother Nature do its thing.

Was waiting for film to develop to share some moments from this trip, but more film/non film carousels from beautiful Guatemala coming soon πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
ok last little batch of film from Korea p3:) have that everlasting split road feeling of hating social media and impending doom scrolling but also wanting to share my life so itβs hard for me sometimes.
Idk why I canβt just drop a pun one liner as my caption and call it a day but when I get to this part of instagram it becomes a bullet journal.
Anyways enjoy. On flight to go take some more photos elsewhere in the world π«‘ππ½
