We’ve seen a fair number of Tofino Beach surf shots come through our lab and they never get old. They present as a minimalist canvas with striking detail to create balance and harmony.
This one is a perfect example. Shot by @photojakee on Black and White film, scanned HiRes on our Noritsu 1800 film scanner and then printed on our Premium Metallic Photo paper. Even though it was printed large to 24x36 from a 35mm negative, the hi-res scan quality/perfect exposure/and camera-lens quality all contributed to the image quality of this spectacular print.

This shot shows how an image captured photographically can simulate a non-photographic piece of art, using just the right amount of camera manipulation and know how. Long exposure, multiple imaging and controlled movement are all part of this recipe perfected by photographer @carol_how . Printing this on Fuji Metallic paper also gives it a quality of dynamic brilliance. Great work Carol!
