Our team drew inspiration from old Hong Kong cinema — Fallen Angels, In the Mood for Love, Hero, Chungking Express.
Now I want to rewatch every single one.
I’m endlessly in love with stories, with cinematography — and with that feeling of being completely consumed.

This shoot made a dream come true.
From the moment I left Ukraine — my life changed completely. A creative crisis that lasted 3.5 years. I was afraid I was losing my colours. That the girl with a Fujifilm and an old Helios was simply… left somewhere in the past.
Until the moment I found myself on a way to Vancouver Island .
4am wake-up. Sunrise. A little road trip. A hike to an unfamiliar location with strangers who trusted me. And at some point I out of pure curiosity picked up THE camera from my bagpack — the one where it all began.
The Sony stayed in the bag.
I was holding a Fuji again — and I knew: «I don’t want to come back.»
I had a manual lens with me — 7Artisans 50mm f/1.2 — and it brought me straight back to the moment I first bought my Fuji, when my only lens was an old Helios.
Only this time — sharper, deeper, more artistic.
For the first time in four years I felt that childlike sense of adventure I thought was gone forever. I had always dreamed of a pink shoot — all my colours were greens, blues, yellows. Pinks and purples never worked for me. Until exactly this moment.
After this shoot I cried — like a child. From pure, real happiness.
I don’t know if my colours left for the same reason they came back.
But I know one thing for certain: joy comes back through the tool you love.
Not the “right” one. Not the “professional” one.
The one that makes you wake up at 4am and run to catch the sunrise.
