We had the opportunity to learn more about the @butterflypavilion , their vision for growth, and how philanthropic tools like planned giving and endowed agency funds can support long-term sustainability.
We were inspired by their deep knowledge and the unique, hands-on learning experiences they create to educate and bring the community together.
We’re honored to be recognized by @flocritcolorado for the Charles Crittenton Community Partner Award alongside our long-time community partner @unitedwaydenver .
Our three organizations have a shared history dating back more than a century, adapting and growing to meet our community's needs.
This work wouldn’t be possible without trust and partnerships like these.
We know that when nonprofits are financially strained by delayed reimbursements, communities feel the impact too.
In a new column in @thecoloradosun , our Chief Impact Officer Dace West joined Ray Barrie-Kivel from @rcfdenver and Sarah Dutcher from @caring_for_colorado to discuss why improving Colorado’s reimbursement-based grant system is so important, and how House Bill 26-1274 would help nonprofits deliver services more effectively and sustainably. We’re proud to stand alongside nonprofits across Colorado in support of stronger partnerships and practical solutions that help communities thrive through this bill and the Bridge Loan Fund that we launched in January.
Great to be at the @councilonfoundations conference with so many thoughtful leaders and partners.
Our President & CEO Javier Alberto Soto spoke on a panel on leading across differences during polarizing times, alongside Brad Clark with Leapfrog Strategies and Gretchen Guess with @rasmusonfoundation .
Erika Montes, our@belongingcolorado program lead, also facilitated a peer-led session alongside incredible panelists and partners, focused on how philanthropy can support place-based efforts that integrate funding, training, and evaluation to advance bridging and belonging.
Grateful to be in conversation with so many people committed to connecting and collaborating across differences.
Congrats to all our Reisher Scholars graduating this year!

A beautiful day to celebrate the reopening of La Raza Park, with our President & CEO Javier Alberto Soto and Marlene De La Rosa, a member of Denver Public School Board of Education and our giving circle LatinasGive!.
For our 100th anniversary, we made a $100,000 gift to support the recent improvements at La Raza Park.
This park has long served as a central gathering place for families and the Latino/a community, and was recently designated as the city’s third historic cultural district.
We are grateful to @denverparksrec , @sandovalcd1 , members of the La Raza Park Community Advisory Group, and everyone who made this project possible.
Colorado needs a strong talent pipeline to continue to remain competitive in the national and global economy.
Dr. Marielena DeSanctis, chancellor at @cocommunitycolleges (CCCS), and Javier Alberto Soto, our president & CEO, brought together leaders from a variety of industries, including Kelly Brough, our board vice chair, and Rebecca Arno, member of our Reisher Scholarship Committee. The group discussed how CCCS can continue to best serve Colorado students and meet workforce needs.
Grateful for our partnership with CCCS.
Our @nativefuturesgivingcircle brought together Native-led nonprofits and Natives working to launch new impact organizations for a community gathering centered on connection and learning.
@difrc_denver kindly provided catering by @moonshell_coop , an indigenous- and worker-owned cooperative and Strengthening Neighborhoods grantee.
We are inspired by how this group is creating space to share ideas, build relationships, and support each other's work.
Progress comes from people exchanging ideas. When peers connect and learn from each other, that’s where the most meaningful insights take shape.
We hosted @mainecf , @cfgnhv , and @cfbroward to learn how community foundations can deepen engagement and support for climate work.
We heard from Allison Agsten, the Director of USC Annenberg’s Center for Climate Journalism & Communication, we visited our nonprofit partners @cultivando_co and @gridcolorado , and we learned alongside Philanthropy Colorado, @chinookfund , @younginvincibles , and @rcfdenver .
Since starting the composting program at our office, we’ve collected and diverted 8,090 lbs of waste!
Which is equivalent to:
🌱Planting 53 trees and letting them grow for 10 years.
🚗Not driving 8,025 miles —about what you’d drive commuting every weekday over 1.5 years.
Happy Earth Day!
In 2025, we had more than 300 volunteers support our work.
We could not do this work without you! Thank you for your contributions across our scholarships, grantmaking, philanthropic planning, impact investments, policy work, board, and committees.
Your commitment ensures that community voices stay at the heart of everything we do.
And thanks to all the volunteers strengthening the important work happening across our community. #NationalVolunteerWeek
We joined a lunch & learn on how narratives and labels can shape perceptions of the full diversity within Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities, and how that connects to philanthropic funding decisions.
The conversation was led by @asiangirlsignite , Hmong Roots Rising, @coloradoasian , and our Colorado AAPI Giving Circle.
Thank you @moonshotev for hosting and creating space for this important discussion.
