Meet the Team - Tom Chandler I started TC Coaching just over 6 years ago now to help fund my decathlon journey following an ACL tear. I work with people from all backgrounds and abilities. From experienced racers to people just starting out on their running journey and just looking to run recreationally as part of a healthy lifestyle. Coaching has helped me so much with my own journey. It’s given me perspective, taught me how to reflect properly and most importantly, to chase the joy in movement. Despite 3 knee operations, my main goal has always been to qualify for the commonwealth games in the decathlon for Scotland. I have continued to push and am now in a position to really go after this goal of mine due to the amazing support network around me and the incredible community built within TC Coaching. 🚨 CALLING ALL RUNNERS 🚨 Do you know you should be doing speed work but don’t know how to do it? Want to be part of a community that welcomes all abilities to come together and celebrate each other’s progress? Track Night with @tccoaching__ is a technique based session followed by a speed workout catering to runners from couch to 5km up to racers. The sessions are led from international athletes and head coach @tomchandler__ that have over 15 years experience in performance athletics. Our aim at TC Coaching is to break the stigma that you need to be an ‘athlete’ to use the track. Everyone is welcome and we’re here to help! MEET THE TEAM - GEORGE BLAKE George is a full time quantity surveyor alongside competing in the 400m and coaching his own elite training group down in Tonbridge @hdperformance._ He has been a coach at TC Coaching for almost 2 years now, working with people of all abilities that have a passion to improve and get the most out of their physical capabilities. “The balancing act I have to manage between my full time job and training for the 400m helps me understand the importance of having someone in your corner to help manage your time and prioritise what to do and when! I am looking to work with working professionals who, like me, are trying to get the most out of their training and performance.” George currently has 2 coaching slots available before he is fully booked as a coach with us. Mega run from @bobby_jords at Queens @citytriruns New half marathon PR of 1:20:21 in his marathon prep! Our next Track Night date just dropped, Monday Night Lights this time 😍 13th of April, bring your friends, family, training buddies and come learn some new running drills and test them out on a time based interval afterwards. This will be our last track night for a couple months as head coach @tomchandler__ heads across Europe with the aim of qualifying for this summer’s commonwealth games! Massive congrats to one of our OG’s @juanvicentico1967 on his recent marathon lifetime best of 4:17:45 a 9min PR from his previous best! Juan has been extremely process driven, focusing on all the elements he can control both within and outside of training. It’s been a genuine pleasure to watch him grow and learn, and to see a time that reflects his hard work is even more satisfying. Huge congrats again Juan, enjoy the moment!

First shoutout of the year going to @annie.kathleen on her AWESOME PR last weekend in Wokingham. Annie has joined us for some help and guidance as she trains for the @hackneymoves half marathon in May and we used this weekend as a chance to see how her training has been going. Not only did Annie break the 1hr mark for the first time but she SLASHED her previous best of 1:09 all the way down to 56mins here! Awesome achievement Annie and just a small reflection of how hard you’ve worked, payed attention to the little things and focused on the process. March 6th Friday Night Lights From 6pm we’ll be leading our next running drill based session followed by a light interval workout catered to runners of all abilities. From 7pm the amazing @chaat_foodtruck will be serving their Indian street food with a modern twist!
