MEET OSAM AIWERIOGHENE @osam_art_
TCAG’s 10 year old member artist, has been into art since he could hold a crayon. By age three, he was already sketching with joy, and by five, he began formal art lessons. His talent has blossomed beautifully leading to his first exhibition at just six, Art Through My Eyes (2021) a captivating collection of animal paintings reflecting his deep love for nature.
While animals remain a major part of his work, Osam has since expanded into portraiture and other styles, always pushing himself to explore new forms of expression. He is always looking forward to exhibitions to showcase his latest and most exciting works. Each artwork tells a story, offering a glimpse of the world through his eyes once again.

Join us at G.A.S. Lagos on May 3rd, 2025 for ‘Retelling and Creating New Memories,’ a collage workshop for children, presented in collaboration with The Children’s Art Gallery (@tca_gallery )!
Led by current resident Rachel Anyo (@rachelanyo ), this hands-on workshop invites children aged 9–17 to dive into archives, photographs, and personal stories and transform them into creative new artworks. Through storytelling and collage-making, participants will explore identity, memory, and the connections between past and present, while also contributing to a larger collective piece.
Rachel Anyo’s practice celebrates creativity, culture, and the importance of preserving and reimagining our histories and she’s passionate about helping young artists find their voices through art.

The proud smile of Sir Bruce Onobrakpeya, a foremost Nigerian artist, painter, and sculptor, reflected his admiration as he observed the vibrant colors and intricate details of a painting by Olujimi Oni, a 9-year-old artist and student at Greenwood House School. Olujimi’s work was showcased at the Children's Art Gallery during the prestigious +234 Art Fair in Lagos, Nigeria. Onobrakpeya, whose illustrious career includes exhibitions at the Tate Modern in London, the National Museum of African Art at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and the Malmö Konsthall in Sweden, recognized the young artist’s talent with great appreciation.
