To my coaches, training partners and sponsors, thank you for investing in me. I realize having your name associated with me means Iโm an extension of your brand and I take pride in representing you well. This wouldnโt be possible without you. Only a fool would believe a fighter walks into the cage alone. Onto the next๐
When weโre in the back we donโt do any fancy pad work, we donโt try and look cool hitting flashy combos, we donโt do unnecessary things that wonโt even get used in the fight. Sharpen the eyes, break a slight sweat, go over exactly what weโve been doing the entire camp, feel the range and distance again as a reminder, then go fight. Train how you fight and fight how you train. The end.
@tberg41 going over that rear elbow and executed it perfectly.
Win or lose our energy will always remain the same.
Congrats to @tberg41 getting that 2nd round finish with a dominant striking performance. Hurting his opponent multiple times on the feet before finishing him on the ground with strikes. Not bad for a wrestler who just learned how to throw a jab less than 2 years ago and his first amateur fight 1.5 years ago.
His opponent was a tough fighter with over a decade of training and striking, with 7 wins as an amateur and pro stopping every single opponent. Had knockout power, wrestled and a brown belt in bjj. We saw that he has a very pressure heavy style walking down all his opponents and in an interview he said he was gonna put a pace on Tyler and thought he was better than him in every aspect of fighting eventually breaking him.
Lucky for us we love fighters who plod forward with minimal footwork coming from traditional Muay Thai gyms. Made our job a lot easier in there with Tyler seeing a lot of openings and just moving his feet. The kid was tough though and took a lot of punishment on the feet, getting rocked and it still coming forward. Exactly what we planned for. He showed heart and toughness in there giving all he got, but Tyler just showed a different level of striking with only a year and half of striking training( the reality with all the time he had to take off due to injuries, sickness, recovery and them damn bachelor parties and vacations!!! He probably has like 14 months total training). Good fight and congrats to the team for trying their best out there, respect.
Letโs rest up, heal, and get ready for this next one asap ๐ค. Youโre the man good sir. Team Berger ๐๐๐

Three-time All-American wrestler Tyler Berger (@tberg41 ) flexed some incredible standup skills on Friday night, and he says that was no accident.
#CFFC153 replay now on @UFCFightPass .
A fully directed video for me is unheard of. I mostly spend time sitting in the corner of a workout/practice and piecing everything together in post. But this video is all intentional shots that I had already in mind. It was a great feeling and I hope to do more of these! Shoutout to @tberg41 for being down to shoot while on a weight cut for his fight tonight!!! #combatsports #mma #sportsvideography #cinematic Shot on @sonycine fx30 ๐ฅ and @tamronamericas 17-70mm lens.
