Wrapped up My Love Stays on Tour’ EU leg!! (weeks ago but I forget)
TM/FOH duties for the loveliest gang of boys and girls for 3000 miles of European gigs and service stations.
UK run starting Sunday!!!
Massive thanks to @srproductionservices and @benchmark.live as ever for their support with tasty control package goodness.
@allenandheath SQ5
@sennheiser IEMs
@dpa_microphones 2028
@seelectronics V7s
Award for the best FOH view ever goes to Boardmasters! Kicking it as always with @benellismusic
Hardly the easiest stage setup I’ve ever walked into but we got there!
First @benellismusic full band gig out the door! Supporting @jessglynne at @derbysmmr last weekend
Having the first gig as a full band in an arena of all places was a hell of a challenge but the boys smashed it.
Ran all in-house kit for this show:
@digico.official SD12-96
@l.acoustics.official K2, Kara, KS28
Big few days last week as part of team RF for Eubank Jr v Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
60 odd ways of Axient and 16(?) ways of IEM deployed as a split system between broadcast, ringside and tunnel, running quadversity and a distributed antenna system that got us coverage right through from broadcast stage to the bar on the other end of the stadium. Oh, and 56 boxes of K2, 76 boxes of Kara and 32 SB28s thrown in too…
Throw in a 60 second changeover from choir to orchestra to a live audience of 68,000 and a million people on telly and you could call it a show with a few moving parts.
Big thanks to @af_live_ for bringing me onboard
Great to jump on tour last month with Ben Ellis. Some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard let alone mixed over. Lived up to the fact it sold out in under 2 minutes
Massive ups to Brick at @srproductionservices for his @allenandheath SQ5 and IEMs, very fortunate to be touring control package on this size tour.
Nice to fit the whole input list on my own mic package as well with @seelectronics V7s on vocals, @radialeng JDIs for guitars, Line Audio CM4s for ambients and crowd record mics and one or two @sennheiser E945s thrown in as well for good measure
Some of these photos are unrelated to the audio, but there was some professional brunching going on that was too good not to share
That’s 56 days on the Paris 2024 Olympics. Flying a few hundred brown boxes on their home turf as system tech and demolishing a few dozen croque monsieurs along the way
Je suis une baguette
Flew straight from Al Ain to Pachuca, Mexico with @tellyork - again mixing pitchside infotainment and half-time show audio. Trickier RF coverage due to all the concrete and no height but we got there. Also peek that in-house PA👀
Great old stadium with an amazing atmosphere from 25,000 Pachuca fans for the CONCACAF champions cup final.
Award for the biggest flag/banner goes to…?
Had a great week doing something different!
Spent the week in Al Ain - UAE working pitchside Infotainment for the Asian Champions League Final. Thanks to @tellyork for bringing me out!
Kit was Yamaha DM3 and Sennheiser RF for Mics/IFB. Couldn’t have done it without my newfound trusty TC Clarity for broadcast levels - mixing audio from a soundproof commentary booth in the stadium roof is tricky…
Busy week working patch at Park Stage at this years Glastonbury. Surprise highlights such as Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Johnny Marr and being featured in a guardian article about a streaker
Great working with some class acts on stage @wilks_pro_audio@jessonsound
Nice two days mixing monitors at the roundhouse. Mixing support act for Circa Waves and an awards show the night before.
4 ways of stereo IEMs and 5 ways of @l.acoustics.official X15 HiQs. Hell of an in-house K2 rig by @deltaliveonline
Great to work on the King’s Coronation last week. Lots of K2/Kara deployments throughout Hyde Park, Trafalgar and the Mall (some areas with more working space than others!). Definitely got my steps in!
