Medical debt can change the trajectory of a family’s life, especially in communities where access and affordability remain major barriers to care. Taylor Rooks’ younger sister’s experience with Type 1 diabetes also gave her a firsthand perspective on how quickly medical bills can pile up.
Now, the NBA on Prime Video host is paying it forward through a partnership between her foundation and Undue Medical Debt to help erase more than $2M in medical debt for nearly 1,800 residents in Gwinnett County, the Atlanta suburb where she grew up. Launched in 2025, the Taylor Rooks Foundation was built around the mission of helping create a future where people have the resources to build a better tomorrow.
Rooks said her foundation plans to continue expanding access, removing barriers, and creating more opportunities for families to rebuild financial stability.
