The top 3 mistakes that are KILLING your speed‼️ (And what to do instead👇) Speed isn’t about who’s the most tired at the end of a workout, it’s about training the right qualities at the right time. Here are the biggest mistakes we see holding athletes back in their speed ⬇️ 1️⃣ Too much conditioning We love hard work and high effort, but endless conditioning is not making you faster. Speed requires quality reps and full recovery, not constant fatigue. 2️⃣ Not enough exposure to max velocity If you’re never hitting your top speed, you’re missing out on massive speed gains. Athletes need intentional max velocity sprinting built into their weekly training. - 2-3 times per week 3️⃣ Random training plans This is the big one. Random training = random results. Speed development requires a plan that progresses from off-season to pre-season to in-season so you can actually get faster year after year.
