A masterclass at the Tate! Recently we were at the @tate celebrating Nigerian Modernism. Sharing one of West Africa’s most culturally significant spirits. 🥃 We hosted two masterclasses introducing @pedrosafrica Pedro’s Premium Ògógóró to Tate Members. Together, we explored the history of the spirit, tasting it neat, and serving cocktails inspired by West African flavour and hospitality. We loved seeing people discover Ògógóró for the first time, ask questions, laugh, connect, and engage with the story behind the bottle. It is exactly why we do this. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Tate @tatecornerbar for these masterclasses. More to come 🇳🇬

R&D: Viva la Vida. Crisp buñuelos with yoghurt ice cream pay tribute to Frida’s final painting, Viva La Vida. A still life of bright red watermelons painted days before her death, the work captures her defiant celebration of life in the face of suffering. As Santiago says: “When you bite into watermelon, it’s like biting into life.” #santiagolastraxtate #kolrestaurantlondon

Natural Jazz is returning to Tate Corner bar this Friday. On the keys we’ve invited West London’s Jonny Liebeck. Jonny started his musical life playing the Church Organ at Mass every Sunday from the age of 13. Now a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music & Trinity Laban, Jonny gigs all over London and has performed at many London venues (Royal Albert Hall, Pizza Express & Bush Hall to name a few). In 2019, he played keyboards for Mica Paris at The Round Chapel, Clapton and performed with Cuban jazz violinist Omar Puente at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival & the Southbank Centre. He recently performed with his Quintet at Soul Mama as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2025.    Drawing from his roots in classical and jazz music, Jonny’s sound is also heavily influenced by latin jazz, funk & electronic dance music genres such as house, jungle & breakbeat, and he blends these influences together in his writing, creating a very interesting and unique sound.  Join us at Tate Corner bar tomorrow (1st May) from 6:30-11pm Where 4 musicians meet on stage for the first time for an evening of improvised Jazz Free entry - Just show up!
