Meet Tara Llanes! She is an incredibly talented athlete and has a big passion for Wheelchair Basketball.
Tara plays and coaches in BC. She started playing on the National Canadian Team in 2018.

āHoopFest has been extremely meaningful in my life because those are funds that funnel directly into putting on BCWBS tournaments and programs. Both of which Iāve been part of since 2016. Without the league and different programs I wouldnāt have been able to learn wheelchair basketball at an accelerated pace, which helped pushed me towards the national team by 2018. Itās events like this and people that give to it that fund so many kids and adults with disabilities and Iāll forever be thankful.ā

What a day! Today the federal government announced a $755 million dollar investment in Sport in Canada. This is huge for the future of our athletes and programs here from community grassroots all the way up to the Canadian Paralympic and Olympic teams. Letās keep building Canada! šØš¦
