I’m starting something to get me out of the painting hole and back into what I love ❤️ ✨The Kookaburra Commission Project ✨
 Each month, I’ll paint 1–2 original Kookaburras on a 12 x 16 inch (30 x 40 cm) canvas. A joyful series celebrating one of Australia’s most iconic and loveable birds. Each piece will be filled with colour, personality and character, inspired by my love of seeing Kookaburras in the wild and the connection they bring. What you’ll receive: 
• An original, hand-painted Kookaburra on stretched canvas
• Signed, varnished + ready to hang or frame
• Certificate of authenticity

My absolute favourite bird. I can’t describe to you how much I love to see them in the wild and I feel like the Kookaburra has lots of special family stories that connects us together! I also think that we all have a Kookaburra story to tell! I’ve lost my painting ways a little bit and the Kookaburra has always kept me focused and grounded so you’ll be helping me stick to some painting goals. Bringing some colour to the wild! I’m looking forward to sharing this beautiful Kingfisher along with a few other Australian beauties at the Inner West Art Fair this November. I had the best time painting birds at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show. Here’s one I did for my friend @julia.bevis.art the curator of the show who always gently encourages and pushes me in the right directions. 💙 Couldn’t be more proud of her and what she did and loved spending a few creative days alongside her and lots of other truly incredible artists. I’m lucky I get to do what I do and be inspired by people and nature! The show and the conversations and connections have inspired a few projects I’m determined to both start and finish! I had an absolute blast this weekend at the @melbflowershow painting little birds all weekend. What started as an idea with @julia.bevis.art turned out to be such a wholesome lovely weekend. I surprised myself being able to paint live in front of people. I loved hearing people’s stories about birds (everyone has a bird story) and learning what their favourite bird is. I loved the visits from all the kids asking what I was doing and the conversations about how “twitching” is becoming the cool and in thing from a bunch of teenagers! There is honestly nothing better than throwing yourself into a challenge and coming out the other side feeling excited about what is next. Feeling way more confident about my skills and I just loved being around supporting, lovely creatives for a few days. Thanks @julia.bevis.art for all your encouragement and most of all believing I could do it. I’ve got a few bird commissions to finish this week! So watch this space.

It's finally here! The flower show opens on Wednesday, but I'll be there from Friday, feeling both thrilled and terrified! I’ll be doing live take home paintings of little birds while also taking your orders for your faves! I'm reminded of a great point someone made about dedicating something to someone special to take the pressure off when facing fears. I'm so grateful to @julia.bevis.art for being an incredible mentor and believing in me always. I'm dedicating this experience to some amazing people who've supported me along the way: Julz for her encouragement, my grandma for teaching me to be adventurous, my nephews and dad for loving birds as much as I do, @haysomandrew for the Flickr photography inspiration, and @moviescientist for being a constant source of support. Excited to share I’m going to be at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show. I’ll be doing live paintings, like this one, of some of my favourite birds. The show starts on March 25th and I’ll be there from the 27th - 29th! You’ll be able to choose your favourite bird for me to paint for you either at the show or to mail to you. I’m excited to embrace the challenge of doing something I love in front of people and chatting to visitors but also learning to let go of being a perfectionist and going with the flow. “Time – For Pete” A special original framed painting by @taracullprojects 590mm x 420mm print on 300gsm artist paper. Created in loving memory of Pete, this piece honours a life taken too soon. Time was something Pete never felt he had enough of. His mind was always moving, always searching for the next challenge, the next idea, the next ride. It was only fitting that his bike carried the word “Time” This painting is more than art — it’s a tribute, a story, and a way to continue his journey. All proceeds will go toward @tourdecureaus and vital cancer research, helping to give others more time — the very thing Pete deserved more of. Starting bid: $200 Bids are welcome via DM. When all the parts of your life intersect 🌈🌈🌈 ❤️🤍❤️🤍🦢🦢🦢 It’s not lost on me that I didn’t just get here from luck. It’s the result of a lot of hard work, energy and all the times that I’ve ever been willing to show up and be vulnerable even when it felt hard. Feeling beyond grateful for the opportunity to show up and be part of something bigger than a game of footy. Marching with the Swannies in the 2026 Mardi Gras. Sometimes you just gotta be bold and brave! Taking action, creates opportunity! I’m loving sharing these little bird tiles in the wild. I mostly do it to share positivity with others but probably it’s just me trying to convince myself to believe the words I say to others. To live the values I feel. I spent far too long worrying about what other people thought about me. I worried way too much. It’s ironic that that more I’ve embraced being vulnerable, being brave and loving being authentically me that I realised I should have been brave and bold all along. I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t wait till it’s too late to be you!

I loved every minute of painting this stunning Wedge-Tailed Eagle on this Skateboard! So much so I’m ready to paint more! What an absolutely beautiful bird!
