Hii friends 💟 I’ve been hibernating over winter but finally TAQA is back. After fully defrosting, I’m super stoked to invite some old friends & new to join me in the la cheetah booth next month. TAQA presents ~… TAQA founder, DIJA - An all encompassing multifaceted artist, DIJA applies an experimental approach to her craft. Opening for names such as Pink Pantheress, Sherelle and SHY FX to name but a few! DIJA is a staple name in her beloved hometown. Meandering her way through genres seamlessly. She has held down years of residencies on local stations (clydebuit & radiobuenavida) with a stealthy record of international radio play from Mexico (internetpublicradio) LA (dublab) , London (nts & foundationfm) and beyond. @666midwife - Originally from London and now based in Glasgow, Midwife has been a fixture in underground dance music for over a decade. With deep roots across techno, experimental, dubstep, and club sounds, his sets explore boundaries while staying true to the dancefloor. A longtime resident on NTS Radio, he co-runs the label Circadian Rhythms, outputting forward-thinking music and culture across formats. @zen.ai.do - ZEN AI DO is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist and DJ. Born in California’s Central Valley, his taste was influenced by his Mexican heritage, giving him a love for all latin and dance music. He began producing as a teenager which later developed into becoming part of his work as a performance artist and DJ in LA. His edits have seen support by the likes of Jax Jones and Sam Gellaitry, so we’re bound to hear something new during his debut at TAQA. @222babychai - Glasgow-born and raised, 222babychai is a dynamic force in the city’s underground electronic scene. Starting their journey with live mixes on Clydebuilt Radio, they quickly established themselves by infusing techno and EBM into genre-defying sets. Their sound is deeply influenced by the raw, industrial textures of their hometown, leading to performances at renowned venues like La Cheetah, Exit, and The Berkeley Suite. Soo stoked to announce that TAQA welcomes @plantainchipps & @333ffua333 💜 On the 13th of April I’m joined by the greatly talented homie @plantainchipps 🖤 Glasgow based DJ, Plantainchipps is all about upbeat and fast-paced sounds. Music that uplifts and excites all those that listen to it. ‍ Her selection covers such genres as afrobeats, house and dancehall, however, she enjoys exploring other genres and adding them to her mix. ‍ Plantainchipps has played a variety of gigs around Glasgow in venues that include The Berkley Suite, The Art School and Stereo, as well as supported such artists like Peach, Shygirl, Bonvaventure, Jamz Supernova and Lorraine James. ‍ She has always had an interest in music and the different genres that it includes and occasionally makes some of her own under the name Nwanneka. Alongside us we will be blessed by young trailblazer @333ffua333 🩵 Born in Scotland, raised in an Afro diasporic community, jersey - junglist - specialist ‘Effua’ uses the diversity of sounds which influenced her upbringing to create bass heavy badness. Her talent has seen her play along the esteemed artists such as LSDXOXO, Jossy Mitsu, Ase Manual and Nikki Nair.
