We love to be on site when it all goes down! With a powerhouse team, we took a 1941 Hollywood puppet theater and made it a female executive hub, reimagining classic club vibes. Here is a peek into the process of one of the two stunning bars — and we’re always there as all the tile is laid 🔨

For Chief’s West Coast flagship we set out to reinterpret the best elements of traditional club environments to support Chief’s goal of connecting and bolstering women leaders. We dovetailed original building elements with new millwork, pathways, and technology to create an enfilade of communal and enclosed zones designed to host large events, lingering, chance encounters, and focused work. Chief LA also features two bars with food service, an outdoor patio, five distinct conference rooms with fully integrated technology, lounges of all sizes, and strategically placed smaller private rooms throughout the club’s two floors. The project’s compliance support included a change of use with building permits and a new liquor license.
We will never say no to color 💚

Over three phases, we carefully restored and modernized Busch Place built by the renowned architect Roland Coate. TAP closely studied Coate’s original design drawings and transformed the home into one that would both nod to the past and serve our clients today. Set on half an acre of the once Busch Gardens — a park built more than a century ago by brewing magnate Adolphus Busch — we knew we wanted to preserve and restore the home’s connection to nature and original landscape elements while reimagining a not-so-great 1990s renovation.
This new bright primary bath is working overtime to also frame out the sweetest courtyard for outdoor dining and important s’more work around the fire pit.

At our La Canada Modern project, elegant materials and humble moves accompany simple technical concepts to completely transform and re-balance an existing untouched 1950s ranch home. With a 750 SF addition that houses the new Primary Suite alongside a full interior and exterior gut and remodel, the updated geometry houses a new semi enclosed courtyard nesting a new deck and outdoor kitchen. The exterior finishes and windows have been removed to be reclad in updated, more energy efficient window, wall and roof systems. The interior is a composition of rustic materials in modern applications.
It was quite a journey, but at the end, this home perched above the Arroyo got the ceilings she deserves (special thanks to a innovative scissor truss designed by the one and only @ibarrastructuralengineering accommodating the higher ceilings and new skylights.)

Perched above the Arroyo Seco with panoramic views, our Arroyo Modern project had not been touched for decades. Through a complete reconfiguration and remodel with four independent additions, the design dances around that which is readily allowed in the heavily regulated building area to completely transform the layout and orient the home towards the properties breathtaking views. The property also boasts a new pool, outdoor kitchen and ADU, alongside the 3,000 SF home.
We love creating spots for a quick easy chat and snack — two of our favorite things. Nothing quite like this breakfast nook which continues to evolve over the years as the family changes and grows ☕️ 🥯

This backyard quietly multitasks — perfect for pool days, dinners on the deck, and moments of stillness with a good book. Alongside the full home reconfiguration, expansion, and remodel, the yard now boasts a new outdoor kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and a pool with an integrated jacuzzi. A custom deck at the deep end doubles as a playful launch point, perfectly suited for the owner’s two young boys. 💦☀️

New kitchen flanking the great room — though we did appreciate the lime green counters and pink walls 💕💚
