It’s been just over a month since the Eaton Fire ravaged Altadena and Pasadena. There is no way to adequately put into words how this has profoundly impacted many of our friends, colleagues, and clients. Our hearts are with everyone directly impacted and our grieving collective community.
In the midst of devastation, it has been heartening to see the greater LA area rally to support one another and also to see the architecture and design community start to mobilize to do what we do best: create HOME.
We wish rebuilding could all happen so soon, but this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint. And everyone has their own often complicated set of circumstances and decisions to navigate, no doubt. Today, Marco and I visited the site of our dear friends’ home to take lot measurements and begin recreating as-built drawings so that we can start designing and dreaming up their Home, Version 2.0. ❤️
The Palmera residence is ready for interior and exterior finishes. We’re excited to share some of the completed work and can’t wait for the homeowners to enjoy It.
