TIME CHANGE: May 9âs Carnatic @ Morningside concert will now be happening at 11:30 AM.
Iâm excited to be presenting a Carnatic vocal concert alongside @krishnapalya.veena and @siddharth_sr_music in the Upper West Side, NYC. Please RSVP at tinyurl.com/carnaticmorningside or at the link in my bio.
Had a wonderful time singing at @barzakh.cafe with @jvldrums , @tanustunes and @harikitathom , performing for the first time in long time. After losing my voice entirely last year, itâs a blessing to be able to sing (cracks & pitch glides and all!).
Particularly special is performing in Barzakh- a space very close to my heart, and one of the few places in Brooklyn to regularly showcase Indian classical music. Barzakh is a space that makes you feel how live music goes far beyond those on the stage. @promotheus_1492 built a beautiful space- one that honors cultural music in its full authenticity, from the instruments in the music room to the MS Subbulakshmi vinyl in the front of the cafe. Itâs also the community theyâve built- audiences that show up with genuine love and energy for world music. And itâs the stories we tell- in a discipline where artists traditionally do not speak much in concerts, sharing context about songs gave me so much meaning to what we played. Excited to be performing a free concert again at my favorite NYC venue - Carnatic @ Morningside! Featuring Vidyut Arvind on vocal, @tanustunes on violin, and @siddharth_sr_music on mridangam â as well as @kpranav04 & @arjunsk21 âs catering service đ Join us at 4 pm on Sunday!
What a beautiful time performing with the amazing @meghanak1212@tanustunes and @harikitathom at the beautiful venue @barzakh.cafe one of my favorite places to be. This was a very special concert, my first semi-full length kacheri on the ghatam and it really stretched me to the absolute limit both physically and in terms of my musical ability. Thank you to my gurus Umayalpuram Mali and @ghatam.rajaraman sirs for helping me reach this point in my development and I hope I can continue to improve as I have a lot to work on. And thank you everyone for coming! It's a beautiful thing to see so many people in the USA appreciating Carnatic music.

Womenâs History Month and Chaitra Navratri Celebrations
An unforgettable evening of Hindustani and Carnatic music at Shri Hanuman Mandir of New York.
We are deeply grateful to our artists for bringing such depth, sensitivity, and energy to the stage:
Tanisha Srivatsa (Violin)
Wang Jie (Mridangam)
Camila Celin (Sarod)
Roshni Samlal (Tabla)
From a beautiful Carnatic duet to a soulful Hindustani recital, and a dynamic CarnaticâHindustani jugalbandi, the evening truly celebrated the richness and unity of Indian classical traditions.
Thank you to Shri Hanuman Mandir of New York for co-presenting this program with Sneh Arts Foundation and for continuing to support cultural initiatives in the community.
And thank you to everyone who joined us and stayed for Langar Prasadâsharing music and community in one space.
More such evenings to come.
