It’s more than passion at this point - borderline obsession. Beautifying the landscape, generating passive good energy, working with the sun/nature/wildlife. Theres no greater artist than nature, the way the flowers have evolved over millions of years to develop the ideal saturation to attract our eyes. One project done then a million more appear, I love the game, I love the hustle.
Had the immense honor of performing lighting operation Saturday night 2/24/24 for @dwellerforever at @paragonbroadway (cc: @johnbarclay3000 & @nitemind ) It’s an incredible feeling to collaborate with other artists and bring a vision and scene to life in a live curated setting. Thank you for trusting me to deliver within my ability and express my craft in a visual format.
I enjoy the silhouettes, operating within negative space and giving the eye just enough or an overload depending on the music. I go off of the sounds I hear coming from the DJ and the energy emanating from an engaged crowd. It’s one of the most present feelings possible live editing lighting looks based off auditory cues and accurately predicting when a snare is gonna pop or a transition is coming. 💜
