Context to a work I have been dying to see but knew nothing about. Commissioned for the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin, it directly engages with the history of the Berlin Wall and the psychological scars of separation. symbolizing the futility of blind collective ambition, human self-destruction, and the struggle against invisible, emotional, or ideological barriers. The wolves, made from painted sheepskin, represent the tragic, repetitive nature of history and human error, showing a pack that hits a barrier but continues to surge forward, undeterred.
The art of the getaway.
