We had the chance to be part of a pretty fun project this semester!
We partnered with apparel design students at Louisiana State University to take on something real and challenge them with one of the biggest gaps it the apparel industry: designing functional workwear for women.
The RAP team got to sit in on a Zoom presentation where each group shared what they created, and it was so fun seeing how they interpreted Red Ants Pants and the women we build for.
To us this project was not only fresh and exciting, but important.
More women are entering agriculture, construction, and hands-on industries every day, and they deserve better than gear that wasn’t made for them.
As our CEO @scole532 says: “Innovation in women’s workwear is long overdue. As more women enter the trades, they deserve gear that’s built for their bodies and the work they do, not something they have to compromise on.”
At Red Ants Pants, our mission has always been simple: build durable, well-fitting workwear for women who work hard, and support the women who wear it and this was a fun and unique way to do just that 🐜👖
