This is my track called Plunder Down, a plunderphonics sound design experiment.
I sampled and reworked fragments of āDonāt Let Me Downā by The Chainsmokers and Daya, reshaping the vocals, rhythms, and textures into a completely different sonic environment.
I spent countless hours experimenting with arrangement, layering, vocal chops, rhythmic restructuring, effects, and atmospheric processing to transform the emotional context of the original song into something new.
I was surprised by how emotionally distinct the final piece became from the original recording. It made me think differently about originality, sampling, and how familiar sounds can take on new meaning when theyāre fragmented and recontextualised.
Honestly, I didnāt know I was capable of making something like this. Itās probably one of the tracks Iām proudest of so far, and Iām looking forward to continuing to compose within this aesthetic.
Full track + more sound design experiments are up on my website:

Iām also open to composing sound-based work for different aesthetics, briefs, or creative projects.

Large Project Recitals š
30 minutes of originals, a live band, projections, and months of work brought to life.
This trimester pushed the project further than I originally imagined, through songwriting, recording, rehearsals, visual direction, collaboration, and live performance.
I collaborated with musicians, lecturers, and students across multiple departments to bring this project to life. Alongside the live recital, I also created visual stage projections and worked on a music video to expand the world around the songs.
I realised the standard I hold myself to is extremely high, especially when it comes to authentic songwriting, emotional connection, production quality, and performance. That mindset pushed this project far beyond the minimum assessment requirements and into something much more ambitious than I originally imagined.
I received a lot of positive feedback after the recital, and Iām really proud of the band we assembled. Everyone performed incredibly well and helped make the set feel polished, emotional, and alive on stage.
Thereās still a lot I want to improve moving into LP2. Refining the productions, strengthening audience engagement, and continuing to grow vocally and as a performer. But compared to week one, the growth in confidence, stage presence, collaboration, and performance ability has been huge.
One thing Iāll definitely remember: my mumās favourite song was āAlive.ā
Thank you to everyone who helped make this project happen.

Iāve been rehearsing a lot lately, getting ready to perform some of my most personal songs live.
This project has challenged me both creatively and personally, and it feels special to be bringing it to life in the final stretch of my degree.
Excited to share it soon.

Easter confest ā26šā¤ļø
This year marks 50 years since confest started, and my fourth confest.
I met some incredible humans and contributed to the community in ways I never wouldāve imagined.
This Easter, I stepped into roles as a HIVE facilitator and a ranger lead under the moniker āRanger Prince.ā While I didnāt really have much time to attend workshops balancing both roles, I felt deeply fulfilled with feeding all the volunteers with the HIVE kitchen crew and responding to incidents alongside my fellow rangers.
Being able to give back to the community in such a meaningful way was more than I couldāve ever asked for.
Across both roles, I contributed over 60+ hours throughout the week.
As a HIVE facilitator, I helped budget and organise food deliveries, and prepared meals for around 500 volunteers.
As a Ranger Lead and field ranger, I responded to incidents, coordinated with site operations, and assigned teams on the ground.
To top it all off, the day after the festival ended, a fellow ranger and I woke up at 6am to drive two confesters to Swan Hill to get a key cut for their car, which had suddenly stopped working.
After driving an hour each way and grabbing breakfast in Swan Hill, their car actually started, and my ranger friend Chris kissed the bonnet in glory.
We drove back to Melbourne that day. Just one of many beautiful moments.
Thank you to everyone who makes this festival what it is, and to all the beautiful people I met along the way.

February dumpš„
Lots happened this month, I became a Student Ambassador at @jmcacademy , interviewed @gigi4perez at my first ever Laneway Festival, became a certified Youth Mental Health First Aider, and experienced so many other special moments along the way.
Most of all, Iām grateful for the incredible people Iāve met.
Hereās to the rest of 2026 ā¤ļø
In January, I wrote 30 songs in 30 days. I publicly posted the songs to keep myself accountable⦠to myself. Ironically, it actually worked.
I set aside at least 2ā3 hours every day to write, record and post each song. The first few days, I woke up at 5am and got the song out of the way early so I could go about the rest of my day.
Around day 4, I caught a really bad cold. I didnāt want to write a song, and I genuinely felt like giving up.
Despite having no inspiration or motivation to keep going, I sat down, put pen to paper, and wrote a song anyway. It didnāt matter what time of day I wrote it anymore, as long as I got it done. Iām so glad I did.
The first few songs I wrote were shit. As Mr. Sheeran says, you find the gold in a pile of shit. You have to keep the water running for a while for the dirty water to clear and make way for the clear water. By about week 2, thatās exactly what happened.
Hereās what I learned about myself:
I can do absolutely anything I set my mind to.
Leading up to the challenge, it scared the sh*t out of me.
What if I donāt find any inspiration?
What if I fail?
The key was sitting down and working those creative muscles anyway. I couldnāt rely on inspiration alone. I picked a story I wanted to tell and just started writing until it was done.
On top of that, I was posting everything publicly, which actually helped me get the job done. I didnāt want to fail with so many people watching my journey.
Another thing I discovered is that when I set a deadline and give myself a set amount of time to get something done, it works in my favour, and I actually get it done.
Around day 10, I gave myself an hour to finish a song so I could go out. I got it done, and it actually turned out to be a good song.
Posting each song and receiving constructive feedback gave me valuable insight into how I could improve my technical ability and get better. It also forced me to let go of perfection, get the job done, and move on.
Even though Iāve archived all the posts from the challenge, Iām practising every day to get better and will officially release some of the songs later this year.
Hereās to discipline, dedication, and lifelong learning ā¤ļø
