Short trailer for Bright Eyes and Steady Hands. I am so incredibly proud of everyone who helped with this, and everytime I get to watch it on a big screen I’m reminded of how much love and care there was on this set. Honoring someone with a lifetimes worth of stories is difficult to do in such a short time, but seeing my grandmother so happy reminds me why I wanted to make films in the first place. There’s so many people with incredible stories all around us, sometimes you just need to bring the camera and let it listen.

2026!!!!! 🎉 I’m late as usual, but 2025 was huge for me.
During the last year I taught both cinema production 1 and cinematography at UTA, as well as a film production class at Booker T. Inspiring others to create their stories has been truly wonderful, and I love every second that I get to stand in front of other creatives and talk about what we love the most.
I directed two films:
Buckshot Odyssey, a short drama about the story of a young boy wrestling with the adoption system and the separation of family.
There Used To Be People Here, an experimental short about the remnants of a small town that was abandoned due to its history of gun violence and political inaction.
I started writing my next film, The Flamingo Experiment, as well as worked on numerous sets and artists that had wonderful stories to tell.
Neon Fawn, a film directed by @baileylewisacts and DP’ed by yours truly was selected for multiple awards at the performers edge ceremony and will be coming to festivals near you.
2025 was officially my last full year as a student. I’ll save my remarks for the graduation post, but it’s been a crazy journey and I appreciate all of you that helped me or invited me to work on your sets.
Overall I’ve had one of the best years ever, and I’m so happy to have met all of you reading this.

It is my day of birth yet again, and looking back at everything that’s happened this year, I’m pretty proud of how much got done. I got into painting, became a pirate, completed my pre-thesis film, had Hideo Kojima introduce me to low roar, watched Iyo Sky retain her title, and big boomed in the same room as the Costco guys.
A lot has changed since 2024, and I’ve learned that you can’t fight nature. The tide will always rise, and it’s your job to move your chair back.
Thank you to everyone who’s helped and supported my endeavors, and I’m excited to give my last two films their festival runs this year.

It’s been an insane year to say the very least. A successful festival run for Bright Eyes and Steady Hands took me all around the state, and I had the pleasure of meeting so many people, Pinoy or otherwise, who were touched by what we made. I began to find confidence in myself, my films, and finally discovered my own voice in them.
During the spring, my friends and I shot Apostle Of Sorrow to completion. Truth be told, this was my greatest challenge yet. This was the first time I feel as if I made a piece solely about my own experiences, and it was equally terrifying and liberating. Thankfully I was surrounded by so many amazing people that treated it with immeasurable care. I’ll never forget filming the dance scene and seeing tears in the eyes of some of our crew members.
I worked on the sets of many other incredible films too, each and every one allowing me to meet new, passionate people, and learn as much as I can. Thank you to everyone who had me, and I look forward to working with you all again.
Lastly, this was the year I rediscovered what I hold dear to my heart. Time flies, life passes fast, so surround yourself with people who have nothing but love and care for those around them. I love my friends. Even though I dropped off of the face of the earth to write the hardest script I’ve ever written, I’m blessed to always have them bringing me back to the real world.
So here’s to 2025, my next film, a festival run for Apostle, and to new and old friendships. May we all find nothing but success in the near future. Pictured or not, love you all!
