And with that, the festival season wait comes to a close. “Beneath the Surface” heard back about its final festival submission. Our first story here at Tabletop Tempest, and a story entirely put together by immigrants and children of immigrants. What an HONOR it was to host these players, and to put the story together. 10 acceptances for our first show ever!! So proud of everyone. We cannot wait to show you what is next. Thank you for all the support you’ve shown along the way.

Two more selection announcements for our first show “Beneath the Surface.” What an honor to have our Actual Play accepted into @towebfest and @apulia_web_fest ! We are delighted to bring this story of immigration, generational traditions, and breaking from cultural expectations to these Festivals.
We are honored to be an official selection for the 2025 Rainbow Roll Fest, hosted by the @rainbowrollnetwork . Diversity counts not only in what we say, but especially in what we do. We are intentional in our goal to cast diverse, own voices in our games, and have only benefitted from the queer representation in “Beneath the Surface.” We are looking forward to the Festival!
We are ecstatic to be able to say that “Beneath the Surface” was announced early as an official selection for @nzwebfest !! We are so incredibly proud of everyone involved. This story was put together by a team and cast entirely made up of immigrants and children of immigrants — to tell a story inspired by Brazilian folklore from the Amazon. Together we explored generational trauma and what it means to be family, especially when the next generation questions and breaks from expectation and tradition.

Wren (they/them) is a Caribbean cosplayer, content creator, musical theater enthusiast, and storyteller currently based in the UK. Still relatively new to streaming and TTRPG actual plays, Wren is in it for the drama and hopes to tell imaginative, endearing, and angsty tales with their creations. Jason Patrick Galit (known as JPG in pop culture circles) is Filipino-American content creator, TTRPG performer, consultant, and “geek educator” based in Southern California. A frequent public speaker for conventions and outlets like San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon Anaheim, and Gen Con Indianapolis, his work reflects how media literacy, brand management, and cultural experiences can help inform upon the pop culture space. JPG is also the owner of the pop culture consultancy firm *InterMyth*, whose aim is to help marginalized and disenfranchised creators on their journey to create in the spaces they love.

Josephine (none/she) is a Korean-American horror creator who produces, performs, podcasts, and more in the realm of TTRPGs. Through personal and intimate horror, she explores fear, mundanity, and relationships in every character and story she brings to the table. Notable works of hers involve storytelling two seasons of Itaewon by Night (BadHouseRPG, Rainbow Roll Network: Best GM) and storytelling GUDIYA (Nameless Domain, NJ Web Fest: Best Audio Fiction Winner).
