I loved cooking up this Muhammara dip as part of the menu I created for the @goodsideguide supper club last Friday. Originating from Aleppo in Syria, it’s made with roasted red peppers and walnuts and known for its sweet, spicy and smokey flavour. An absolute dream combo for me 🌶️ Found these little dishes tucked away in a Porthleven charity shop for 50p!! Tomato and chilli jam restock this week for @thestivesco This jam is bursting with the bold sweetness of vine-ripened tomatoes and the subtle heat of red chillies. Added a little cardamom in there to give it that warm aromatic flavour. Finished with a hint of sea salt. Had a wee break from posting whilst I went on me holidays 😎 I always think it’s a good idea to de brief, put down your phone for a bit, get inspired and look up! Sometimes you just need to take a minute to reflect and breathe on the all the stuff you’ve been doing in life. It’s a busy ole time for me at the minute and having a well deserved rest was just what I needed to get back to it. So with that in mind let’s get planning the next event shall we?!! 👀

Delicious things I ate in Malaga 🇲🇬 … 1. A tray of delicious treats from the local bakery we found including a caramelised apple puff pastry slice, Andalusian honey soaked bread with syrup, a chocolate & almond twist and a Torrijahs Miel - a cinnamon sugar, marmalade syrup soaked bread. SENSATIONAL. 2. Me looking extremely happy about finding a local bakery near our apartment and trying out the local pastries 🥮 3. Back for more Torrijahs Miel because I’m now obsessed and want to make them everyday. 4. Chocolate & almond frangipane pastry slice. 5. The best meat shop ever. A ticketed machine will print you a number and you wait your turn to order. 6. A little pot of salty cured meat. Heaven 🙏🏽 7. Mini empanadas with Nduja. Simple but a v tasty snack whilst exploring. 8. Me happy with a glass of wine at El Pimpi restaurant admiring the lovey photos on the wall of @antoniobanderas What a beautiful Spanish man he is ❤️😎 A girl can dream… 9. Patas bravas at El Pimpi. Need I say more?? 10. Buying MORE meat from the meat shop ready for beach sandwiches. 11. The beach sandwich curtesy of @lew1s_ 12. Me with my 5 euro bottle of wine very excited to drink it. 13. The first few weeks working @yallahcafe_stives have been super fun and exciting. Getting to cook up delicious food everyday and find my feet in something I love doing is such a nice feeling. Cannot wait to add some new exciting stuff to the menu for the summer months! 🌻🌞🌻 But first I must master the perfect cinnamon roll… Apparently I love to pose holding plates of food now too 🤣

A very VERY special moment for me cooking Tunisian Brik at the supper club!! ❤️ Probably one of the most memorable dishes eaten for me with my family in Tunisia. My granny Barka and all of my aunties would cook and still do cook this most weeks as part of the staple diet eaten in Tunisia. IYKYK. For me it represents culture, family, gatherings, sharing, talking, traditions and most of all, the best memories 🥰 A very surreal moment for me seeing 26 people eating this that had never tried it before 😅 but the absolute best. Brik is a very thin pastry similar to a spring roll pastry, with the filling consisting of tuna, egg, potato, onion, capers and harissa - deep fried with freshly squeezed lemon over the top. Bloody delicious if you ask me!! More of these will be happening at the next few supper clubs so if you didn’t get to grab one, hold tighttttttttt!! Special thanks to @mylifeasathumb for helping bang a million of these out and calming my nerves.
