From cooking for friends to building this beautiful community around food and my supper club — feeling incredibly grateful!❤️ Adda, stories, laughter, strangers turning into friends over a table full of deshi khabar — this is the heart of my Supper Club. The Bangali way of addabaji, where conversations flow as much as the food, has always been my inspiration for building this space and community. Thanks to @urbanlistsyd for featuring my journey and letting me share the vision behind it. Grateful to @eloiseluke for asking such beautiful questions that brought out the Bengaliness in me and allowed me to truly express what Table Talk is all about. ✨

Giving our son the type of childhood we grew up loving 🤎 Life has been occupied by illness, relatives visiting and mostly, organising a magical first birthday party for our baby and our first year as parents. As a Bangladeshi and Fiji Indian couple, we marked this massive milestone with our beautiful culture, community, family and friends in Melbourne. We worked with Bangladeshi and Melburnian collaborators to customise every detail. From all the artwork, to the menu, to the decor and even the place mats and 42 terracotta tea cups all the way from Dhaka (!) - it was amazing to celebrate our heritage and delicious FOOD (including a gulab jam cake) with our loved ones in such a special way. Our little family was surrounded by love and even the weather defied all odds for a gorgeous, sunny day. So grateful to every person who helped bring this day to life, especially my husband who supported me in every way to bring my dream vision to life and my mother who came all the way from Dhaka for the event (and brought 40 kgs of event goodies with her!) 🤎 More behind-the-scenes from this celebration coming soon.
