Giving our son the type of childhood we grew up loving 🤎
Life has been occupied by illness, relatives visiting and mostly, organising a magical first birthday party for our baby and our first year as parents.
As a Bangladeshi and Fiji Indian couple, we marked this massive milestone with our beautiful culture, community, family and friends in Melbourne.
We worked with Bangladeshi and Melburnian collaborators to customise every detail. From all the artwork, to the menu, to the decor and even the table mats and 42 terracotta tea cups all the way from Dhaka (!) - it was amazing to celebrate our heritage and delicious FOOD with our loved ones in such a special way.
Our little family was surrounded by love and even the weather defied all odds for a gorgeous, sunny day.
So grateful to every person who helped bring this day to life, especially my husband who supported me in every way to bring my dream vision to life and my mother who came all the way from Dhaka for the event (and brought 40 kgs of event goodies with her!) 🤎
More behind-the-scenes from this celebration coming soon.
