Almost £8k raised between myself and my dad & 42k/ 26.2 miles ran @londonmarathon in aid of Spinal Research & @besupporttrust 🌟 The fundraiser pages are still open. Osberton International CCI pony 2⭐️ Great way to finish the season with both Buzz, Junos and my first ever pony 2*! And to come home with Juno placing 3rd and buzz 7th. Despite the 5 hour journey taking us almost double the ponies settled in well! Buzz did one of his best tests just one big mistake from me for a break into canter in our mediums. Juno also did a good test however was let down on my part after many silly mistakes. Both ponies did super clears xc finding it very easy, although it was causing quite a few problems! Juno easily inside the time and buzz just adding a few tf to his dr. After both trotting up perfectly at the horse inspection. Buzz went first sj, warming up amazingly but had quite a few poles, one being my fault after a big miss at fence 3, the others as he was slightly tired on the final day & me putting him on some close strides! But all to improve over winter. Then Juno jumped an incredible clear even tho I was riding very nervously to finish 3rd!!! Beyond pleased with her considering we were only doing 90s at the start of the season. Huge thank you to everyone that helped me at osberton! Especially @projectponypp for not only sponsoring the section but also allowing me the ride on buzz💞, my mum for driving us all that way and teaching me. Mabel at Aston Novice!! A mixed Dr, Mabel feeling a bit fresh & distracted, unfortunately two marks up on our score due to not entering the arena quick enough… so got a 35.8 not 33.8. Just tapping the middle of the treble where I let her get a bit flat and clear xc, feeling very keen!! Tabby’s taking on a marathon challenge for causes close to her heart 👟 We’re in awe of 18-year-old event rider @tabbytayloreventing who’s tackling the iconic London marathon this month, all in aid of our work and Spinal Research. Both charities are close to Tabby’s heart, and she’s been training hard for months to give it her best shot. Mabel on Saturday doing a 28 Dressage (over 10 marks improvement from last weekend!!) Double clear just adding 10 time as I was trying to maintain more control than at Moreoton! To be just outside the top 10 for 11th @barburyht Novice. Still quite fresh in the dr, not helped by something in her ear bonnet biting her ear and drawing blood explaining the extra head shakes… also quite forward in the sj for rider error two poles rolled where I let her run. Lack of brakes continued to the xc so some bits were prettier than others, still producing a clear!! Onwards and upwards to the next one.
