This Saturday, 18 April, the V&A East Museum opens its doors in the @queenelizabetholympicpark . Along with the Storehouse, this completes the @vam_east branch, celebrating the incredible creative heritage of east London. At the heart of the museum is the exhibition, The Music Is Black: A British Story. From Stormzy’s Union Jack stab-proof vest designed by Banksy to Joan Armatrading's childhood guitar, the objects on display tell a powerful story of the artists who have shaped our culture. It is a privilege to partner with the @vamuseum on this landmark project. As technical engineers, we ensure the technology elevates the story, allowing the audience to connect with the experience. Skyframe Piano is back for Spring 2026! After welcoming more than 1,000 players a week last year, the interactive public piano is now live again until 2 May. Free and open to all at 120 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 5BA – home to The Garden at 120, one of London's best free rooftop gardens. Come and play a tune and transform the sky with your music. Tickets are now on sale for The Music is Black: A British Story, the first exhibition to open at the new V&A East Museum. Opening on Saturday 18 April 2026, the exhibition explores the impact of Black British music and culture through a multi-sensory experience, combining sound, multimedia installations, fashion, photography and instruments. It’s been a privilege for Sysco to contribute to this project, alongside our wider work across V&A East Storehouse and the new V&A East Museum. On what would have been David Bowie’s birthday, we’re proud to have played a part in sharing the life and work of this shapeshifting icon. Opened to the public in September 2025, the David Bowie Centre at V&A East Storehouse builds on the V&A’s earlier work with the archive, including the landmark David Bowie Is exhibition in 2013, which Sysco also supported through immersive audio-visual interpretation. Bringing together more than 90,000 items spanning six decades, the Centre opens up one of the world’s most significant music archives to the public. The project has been widely recognised, with the London Evening Standard describing the archive as “utter stardust for Ziggy fans”, The Guardian awarding it five stars and calling it “what the museum of the future looks like”, and Time Out London highlighting “the possibilities of the public archive”. Earlier this month, @team.artinracing brought together art, motorsport, and technology at a Private View in Brixton to spotlight exceptional talent and challenge the financial barriers that still limit access to racing. Led by @officialdisruptspace and founded on @eliciajmckenzie ’s artistic vision, the project follows @lewisappiagyei and @rubenstanislaus , two outstanding young drivers whose ability is unquestionable, yet whose opportunities remain constrained. Our Sysco Productions team of Story Engineers were proud to support the preparation and delivery of the technical elements that brought the experience to life, and to play a part in helping to disrupt the grid. We have supported @paul.pablo.reid and the Disrupt Space team on previous work and were pleased to do so again, because we genuinely admire their mission and the impact they continue to create.
