Come with us as we go behind the scenes at the George Lucas Stage at Elstree Studios, the home of Strictly Come Dancing! With the show broadcast live every Saturday night from late-September to December, the production behind Strictly is both high-stakes and extremely complex.
Part of this complex workflow are the many stings, sound effects and music beds the show relies on, which have to be played out at exactly the right moment. In charge of this task is Grams Operator and Technical Specialist Nancy Wright, who works as part of the wider team at BBC Studioworks, who operate and maintain some of the UK’s leading television studios, including London's iconic Televison Centre.
