Rail Away Radio Special (2023)
This Dutch-spoken radio special on @strandedfm celebrates trains as my favorite mode of transportation and pays homage to the television series @railawaytv .
The Rail Away program invites viewers to join a captivating train route, guided by the narration of Bob van der Houven, who shares historical facts about the journey, the cities en route, and the landmarks that grace the path. All of this is complemented by the enchanting musical compositions by Hartmut Ewert.
His musical arrangements and the program’s ambient sounds, were taken from various Rail Away episodes around the world. Alongside this I share personal anecdotes about train travel and an in-depth research about the alternate universe of Rail Away.

It’s been a while! We miss you! Due to the Lockdown situation we decided to put the station on snooze
for a while, and enjoyed some amazing shows by our dear people made from home. Find them on our FB or archive!
Anyhow, with the abundance of streams nowadays, you vital people once again reminded us the station's power is in our connection and the legacy we're building in this lil' town, so that won't fade! <3 A big shoutout to everybody who’s involved.
So from today 17:00 it’s studio time again with Rites or Harvest and delegates from Radio Tempo Não Para. We’ll be back afterwards on Thursday due to the adaptation time and aim to be back on track soon.
Regarding COVID, we will maintain the cleaning and mask policy as we did pre-closure for now and apply to curfew times.

Friday evening 20:00 / @syntax026 at @stranded.fm / I will bring you DJ Leroy presents DJ Lerła, a celebration of Polish music. Since 3 years I have been digging into Polish music and I found it very interesting to see and hear that there is so much made and still being made. Music, in some cases, was and still is a form of rebellion. In 80s Poland, I feel music connected everyone while protesting for a better future. Very recently rights have been taken from women and the LGBTQIA+ community. It saddens me a lot. My heart goes out to all protesting and those trying to make their voice heard for basic human rights. I suggest you all to read about it, but also to delve into the culture that Poland has to offer. xoxo DJ Leroy
