Couple's Project: I WHALEY LOVE YOU 2026 ______ J and Y decided to sculpt themselves a whaley each. The whaley was formed with two half pinch pots combined, and it's tailed added on together after! Technically challenging for our meticulous 1st timer but, yes we did it! Our pieces are all bisqued and fine. Looking forward to giving them their color soon :) #throwback #march

Coral, reels, rock formation making has been our favorite. With much determination, discussion, and teamwork, a baby whale and its habitat its form :) The pieces are bisque, and we look forward to glazing them soon :)

Couple's Project: I WHALEY LOVE YOU 2026 ______ I love how clay reveals both the boldness and gentleness in the couple. Even with limited clay experience, they’re willing to embrace the challenge the task provides. Through simple discussion and technique execution, they complete the challenge intuitively and create the work with both hands on the material. They share energy and effort, explore forms, and experiment with textures and tools. The process involves refining, problem-solving, and connecting pieces, all over four hours of hands-on experience. They shape a magical habitat and discover a baby whale that will eventually become the vessel to hold their growing bonsai together. It’s a wonderful product and a meaningful process. While logic is essential, sometimes what we need is a space for love to flourish, guided to ensure safety and progression. Thank you A & D for taking up the challenge! Special Edition : Hand Building Workshop I Whaley Love You 🩵🐋 ______ Ever find it difficult to articulate your love language? Sometimes, words are not big enough. We couldn’t think of anything else but a gigantic whale to symbolize how much we LOVE! Go Imaginative this Valentine season with your loved ones. Create something beyond your everyday mug and plates! BURGBARNBURI 📍Khaoyai, Thailand 🇹🇭 _____ Returning to Burgbarnburi with a heartfelt sense of gratitude! Believing that there is a time for everything, as I promised, to share with you the pure joy and satisfaction I received after coming back from KICA residency in July, we are heading to the land of smiles, Thailand again :) Organized under @syncstudio.sg in collaboration with @burgbarnburi_official . This trip will take you around 3 UNESCO conservation in Thailand for inspiration, introducing you to local Thai food that nourishes your body and evokes flavors and senses. The focal point here is our stay at Burgbarnburi, where we dive and soak into the deep of the mountain and forest, a space we will be staying with Nature, manifesting good spirit and creating art together! We will be engaging in a full 3-day Clay Sculpting Workshop led by dear friend, renowned Thai Sculptor, @naidee_changmoh , we want you to find liberation not only through clay working in nature, but by creating larger scale ceramic project that challenge your understanding of materials, yet also free off your mind from creative restriction. Founder of Burgbarnburi, @thirasak_tanapatanakul will also be leading us on a forest bath, where we will be guided to trial into National Park Khaoyai, to seek our own natural remedy! The session is for any clay enthusiasts who want to take their ceramic experiences further into the wild with mindful practice. It can be for anyone who wants to work on something new, reset, recharge, and recalibrate for the betterment of our well-being as we ride the journey forward together.
