Hereās the finished mural at @shoptigertree & @cubshrub in Clintonville!! š·š» I had such a blast with this project, and Iām so grateful to the shop owners, Josh and Niki, for giving me the opportunity to paint my first ever permanent mural! šØ A huge thank you to the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the City of Columbus for providing the grant funding that made this mural possible!! @gcac_cbus@artmakescbus š§āšØ
Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting extras that Tigertree and I have been cooking up! ššŖ²

Warning Signs ā ļø Hereās some fresh new work from the winter that I made to beef up my portfolio for applying to grad school. Though I didnāt get in, Iām still really proud of the work Iāve been making and I see tons of improvement from last year. Iāve been in a starving-artist part-time / freelance limbo for long enough, so Iāve decided to get my k-12 teaching license and start teaching art in the fall! Iāll still be makinā art & doing the occasional market, but Iām excited to start this new chapter and I think itāll be really fulfilling šØš»āš« I hope all you people behind the screen are doing well and keepinā your head above the water in all this chaos. šš·
Hereās some progress pictures from my mural at Tigertree!!! It has been a dream come true to paint a mural for āOhioās most unusual storeāš·šššŖ²š I am SO excited to share the finished mural with you all soon!
Featuring the cute lilā glass pumpkin I made at the Conservatory! š
Come see this painting & other figurative work at Blockfort Gallery tomorrow night 6pm-8pm for the opening of Muses š«š·
The show will be on view @blockfort until September 27th
I had such a blast with this collaboration with @tri.log at Lightwriters Neon in Chicago š”š
āThe Creativeā - examining the artistic process from an internal perspective š«š§ šØ
My paintings on cut-out plywood shapes showcase the interaction of the mind, the heart, and the hands. The handsāholding pencils and two of my retired paintbrushesā work their way around the scene, framed by painted veins on the wall. @tri.log ās neon pieces playfully interact with the paintings, creating colorful shadows and illuminating the pieces in a vibrant glow.
The making of this piece involved a lot of creative problem solving, and months of planning. Overall, I learned a lot from the experience and I got really good with my jigsaw šŖ
You can see this piece and the rest of the exhibition at Lightwriters Neon in Chicago until October 25th!
New sticker designs!! š· Plus a few new variations of old designs š All of these are up on my etsy, link in bio! Lots of exciting things are in the works and iām so excited to share them with all of you! I hope youāre all doing well, it is what it is, keep planting seeds š±
Here they are!! š·The riso designs iāve been cookinā up for ages have been printed! šš they are now available on my etsy!! (link in bio) šø
If youāre unfamiliar, risograph is kinda like if screen-printing and a copy machine had a baby. Itās an 80s era japanese printer that creates a stencil for each color layer, then it prints one ink at a time.š„«Even with tons of planning and experimentation in photoshop, itās hard to completely predict what the final print will look likeābut thatās the charm of riso, it makes for really unique results! šŖ² For this project I went through Columbus-based @clatterpress and they were so kind and helpful throughout the process, I highly recommend them for all your riso needs! š They also have a monthly riso-printed zine that features local artists, which is pretty darn cool :~)
Anyway happy halloween!! š
Thanks for lookinā šļøš„šļø
hereās a mural i painted a little over a year ago at 934 gallery - i titled it āresilienceā š· it was inspired by the monarch caterpillar/butterfly; a species that is in danger of going extinct. (plant milkweed!!) š±š anyway, iām hoping to eventually catch up on posting all the art things from my hermit era, and iām looking forward to making some new work soon! :~)
