A few weeks after my 29th birthday, I looked at
@kaciecone and said, “Well… I guess I missed my window for
@forbes 30 Under 30.” I’d dreamed of this title since stepping into the corporate world at 21, but somewhere along the way, I let that dream go quiet.
What I should have known was that my team would refuse to let it go for me. They quickly went to work on my submission and nominations behind the scenes, and waking up to this news was the surprise of my life. Especially because
@therealmoney called and texted me repeatedly at 6 AM (which I naturally assumed meant I was getting fired).
Everyone around me knows how deeply I care about my work. Not just for my own career, but because I want to build something meaningful along the way. I want young women to be tenacious, delusional in the best way, and completely unwilling to accept “no” as an answer.
Today, I’m excited. I’m honored. And yes, the imposter syndrome is very, very real. But by the skin of my teeth, I made it, y’all 🤍
