As part of the promotion for @ponderers upcoming LP āTerrestrialsā, we created a series of what weāre calling āunidentified musical objectsā. š„ Theyāre designed to speak to the albumās themes and ask the question: where does music come from? Is it of this earth? Is it otherworldly? Is it a terrestrial force, from the red dirt, floating above the gums, in cloudless skies? More to come š

Iāve been playing around with some fun stencil ideas recently, so it felt like as good a place as any to draw from for Februaryās new wordmark. š§± No. 30 for Swim.
I was gifted āStep Into Paradiseā for my birthday earlier this year - a beautiful book about the amazing work of artists and fashion designers @jennykeeoz and @opallindaoz and Flamingo Park. Iāve been flicking through it a lot recently and have been particularly inspired by the knitwear, especially the way that the type is incorporated into the designs.
I loved the way the process of knitting affected the feel of it all, creating a warped, āpixelatedā form with a tactility and warmth that Iām often chasing in my own work. So, when it came time to design Swim wordmark No. 29 I thought, why not knit it?
