Introducing
@southwestair “Artist on the Rise” to
@luckreunion - It was an honor to be let into each one of these life’s. All 3 of these are so different and unique in their own special way. The angle was trying to showcase their real lives, and put you in a “day in the life of” with also heavily featuring the art and music they’re each incredibly passionate about (which was very very difficult keeping in the 4-5 minute world).
We scrambled a nimble and VERY talented crew to Durham, Denver, and Phoenix with a 35mm camera (which we shot about 80% of these vignettes on - hand checking film through TSA, and jumping through allllll the hoops to get it done! We only got the chance to spend 1 day each with these Artists, the vision was to lean heavy into the cinematography on each shoot, the prepro, remote location scouts, crew, and production schedule were key, and collaborating with each Artist with what they found best represented themselves personally and creatively was fulfilling to say the least. All of the music was recorded live on location.
