We took Kira to Fenway Fest ⚾️   Our team partnered with @swevenfx to bring our @motorizedprecision Kira cinema robot down to Boston to give fans their own Glambot moment — the same experience their favorite @redsox players get on camera for creating content for the season. Seeing so many fans step in and own the spotlight was such a fun part of the day.   We’ve had the chance to work with the @redsox on several projects over the years, and this one was especially memorable for us! At Studio Lab, we’re all about innovation and finding creative solutions to make production easier, safer, and more efficient.   When @gregfarnum at @swevenfx had the idea for filming a baby in a car seat, he knew our studio was the perfect place to make it happen. Instead of worrying about filming on the road, the team set up a shoot using virtual production and our LED wall to safely recreate a realistic driving scene without having to worry about highways or car rigs.   Our studios are fully equipped to fit vehicles, giving production teams the flexibility to film any driving environment without leaving the building (and without any safety concerns).   Big thanks to our crew who made this possible, and to our incredible talent: Carolyn for her role as the mom, and the little ones who absolutely stole the show. Testing out this vintage ‘85 drill press on some extruded aluminum for a custom drop rig build we’re using in next week’s shoot. Built a pneumatic system with a solenoid valve to automate the drop cycle—resetting itself every time for clean, repeatable results. Still dialing in the top arm and tray mounts, but it’s already looking solid. Next up: integrating this into our robotic camera workflow.
