progress of a sketch in pen that I plan on adding some color to
i always draw or paint with a reference or end product in mind and i’ve been trying to go in with zero result expectations or reference picture. let the art inform the meaning not the other way around. i have a couple titles floating around my mind for this one but i’ll probably decide once i add some color.
also this was mostly all drawn on a flight with a touristy Boston pen I bought in the airport because my pen died

as a little bday present for @hun.maladapted i painted steve on this mug! steve’s reaction was only of mild interest but i think she enjoyed it too
first in the Artist Series : Doechii 🦎
using no references except the artist’s discography ~lines, shapes and colors felt through those songs~
an insanely talented artist who moves through different sounds, moods, and meaning with fluidity and creativity
ps: waiting patiently for the Doechii SZA album collab because everything they make together is magic 🧚🏼
