Ok, den. As promised, here's a clip from the Athens show on Friday the 13th all the way back in March 2026. This one features the esteemed @james_keith_jenkins licking it up on an unreleased tune called "Find A Way" as if he were @vinnievincentofficial circa 1983. Thee @jaydomgon is gluing things together offscreen (as is his wont) & @brandonmcdearis is nailing the whole scene down.
As always, @dstriker facilitated this debacle. We like him just fine.

Oh, man. What an honor it was to get to watch @theejohndoe do his thing in Joshua Tree this weekend. He blew the doors off that place all by himself, didn't even plug his acoustic in. Just a badass man & his badass voice singing badass songs with his badass guitar. He graciously signed my original pressing of Los Angeles by @xthebandofficial because I already had a signed copy of his latest (badass) record called Fables In A Foreign Land. Which you should buy immediately if you haven't already. (/music)

Along with the husband of @pixiepope . I've got some videos, which folks seem to prefer. I'll try to get some up. It was a monster celebration though. Trust me on that.

The cat’s out of the bag! To celebrate RR Issue No. 50, we’re taking the RR Party back to where it all started — Athens, Georgia. Even better, it’s happening at the bar where I performed for the first time, once known as Hole In The Wall, now Flicker Bar. The stage has moved, but the Washington Street address is the same.
The line-up is stacked. Athens’ own Clay Leverett will kick it off, blending rock ’n’ roll and honky tonk with the Classic City’s best voice for both. The Sweetman himself, Jason Crawford, will bring the rockin’ swagger — Athens roots, nearly two decades in San Francisco, now simmering in Sin City. Backed by her husband Dave Kirkpatrick, Annie Neeley of West Virginia will let her powerful, deeply expressive voice tell the story of the literal and metaphorical places she calls home. And Lew Card, a member of my first band the Feather Explosion, will trace the long road from East Tennessee to Austin and back, songs in tow. All told, it’s a real revelers’ reunion.
And if you’re new here, what’s RR? Every Friday the 13th since 1998, RR is the zine I’ve published to chronicle the self-made country legend of D. Striker — through stories, song lyrics, cartoons, games, and more — all while skewering and saluting Nashville and country music’s past and present. The RR Party celebrates each new issue.
