I am about one month out from having surgery to repair a meniscus root tear in my left knee. As a result we are taking very minimal orders mid to end of June. 📣 If you have an order in with us already, we got you, but we will be keeping the rest of order taking mid June to a minimum. 👀
When my lower left leg started aching in December I wrote it off thinking ‘this month is always a lot of extra standing- I’ll be fine.’ But by January I was full limping, the pain had moved to include my knee, and then I fell. 🙄 Its funny because I am one of the most un-atheletic people you will ever meet- KF says my bike riding reminds him of Kermit- so I was really surprised to find myself with an injury like this! But looking back, I’ve been working on on my feet since I started waiting tables and there was barely any sitting while prop and set styling for TV, then I started baking… turns out I stand up a lot and I’m pretty active. (Active like a muppet) This injury also comes with age.🩻
My official non weight bearing recovery assignment is 4 to 6 weeks (🤞for less) but I suspect I will be ready to bust out on my crutches as soon as I figure out how to use them🩼🍪🩼 and we are taking orders and scheduling cookie classes for a week after. My bigger picture healing goal is to be back on my rollerskates by Fall. (Meetup!!!🛼🛼)

For this Ranney Pre-Prom party hosted by the Kiely family, we worked on our largest dessert table yet! We captured @ranneyschool ‘s Hollywood prom theme with clapboards, movie cameras, XL letter R’s while Cathy of @shugashackbakedgoods created matching vibe cupcakes, cakesicles, and amazing truffle brownies✨
This setup, using Mary’s own gorgeous platters, took me about 3 hours and even though I was trying not to eavesdrop I overheard one guest say to another, “Prom? Why would we ever leave here?!”

Our husbands know that as the weather warms up, Amanda & I like to kick off margarita season every year, so last Tuesday they booked us 4 bar stools at Pascal & Sabine’s Petite Cocktail Club for their Cinco de Mayo margarita theme.✨🍹✨
We enjoyed 4 petite margs plus 2 fresh, delicious tacos while watching and chatting with @hospitableherbie ✨and learning about the inspiration behind his creations.
We started with Herbie’s Le Jackal- a semi spicy jalapeño marg with ginger, followed by his Agua de Jamaica hibiscus margarita topped with edible flowers. Next came the Agua de Tamarindo marg with a generous Tajín rim, and finally his clarified strawberry milk margarita made with fresh strawberries.🍓👀
Every cocktail was perfectly balanced, and I’m happy to report I’ve already leaned in to Herbie’s side-glass salting technique. (SO much better than salting the full rim!) 🍋🟩
Of course I couldn’t resist bringing a few cookies for after class- my margarita cookie is one of my OG designs, and I’ve been torturing Amanda with it for years.🤣
Herbie’s Petite Cocktail Club meets at the round bar on the first Tuesday of every month at @pascalandsabine 🌙Themes vary monthly and tickets are available on their website. Highly recco as a fabulous date or bestie night out!✨💖❤️

The vibes were fun and a bit wild, the cookie art was really quite amazing and as I drove home in a downpour with an actual rainbow to my right 🌈 I spent time thinking that not be more lucky for what I get to do as my purpose - spreading love!💗
