Working on the final firing before @potfest.co.uk and summoning some moody sea energy for my version of Poseidon. Can’t wait to get stuck in! Wish me luck! 💙🌊
She is Spring, very much enjoyed making this one and tried to combine all the elements I love to make. Hopefully she makes it through the kiln and joins me @potfest.co.uk at Glynde this May! 😁🌼✨#ceramic #sculpture #spring #deity #potfest

Mini sketchy doggie and mini messy chickens! I find this a really great way to warm up and helps me to understand the forms incase I want to scale them up and make larger pieces #ceramic #sculpture #dogs #chickens
New little bird characters I’ve been working on recently. I was hoping to capture a sense of energy and personality about them. I like the way the oxides and underglazes suggest a watercolour featheriness and the crow in the last pic is multi faceted with an intensity and oily shiny reflective quality, as this is how I imagine a crow to be! I never know exactly how the decoration and glazing will turn out, even with lots of glaze testing you can never be sure. A key reason I love working in ceramics, you never quite know what to expect when opening the kiln and find the magic that has occurred ✨🧡🐥🪺 #ceramic #birds #clay #contemporary #craft
I’m so very happy to share that I’ll be exhibiting @potfest.co.uk - South East this coming May (22nd, 23rd & 24th) at Glynde Place! Yippeee! This will be my first time showing with the team and I’m beyond excited to be bringing along my ceramic animals both large and small. Hope to see you there! ✨🧡 #potfestsoutheast #ceramic #hare #sculpture
I can’t quite believe how quickly January is passing, time seems to be flying by at the moment. There has been a lot of planning, tidying up and paper work to do here as I tend to go into full making mode pre Christmas then reflect, let go and think about new pieces, directions and projects I wish to take for the next year over the festive break. This year I’m particularly motivated to seek out new opportunities, try new directions, turn up the soil and lay foundations to further my knowledge and understanding of storytelling through sculpting and glazing.
I’ve entered ‘The guardians’ ceramic and wire sculpture with guilded elements into the @hastings.contemporary and @sussexcontemporary upcoming Odyssey exhibition. I’ve really enjoyed the process of bringing together some ideas that were started back in 2024. I wanted the gulls to appear to have made their own symbolic foraged treasures and wear them with a sense of pride and personality. Who knows if it will be selected, I’m just pleased to have had the opportunity to work on this and put forward some new ideas. #ceramic #gulls #sculpture #hastings.contemporary #sussexcontemporary
