Honoured to have had the opportunity to redesign the Fugitive Doctor’s costume for @msjomartin to wear in the new @bbcdoctorwho global multi-platform adventure, Circuit Breaker. And yes… I got to give the Doctor a hat. 🤠 Huge thanks to the incredibly talented team of makers who brought it all to life (more on them to follow as the adventure unfolds šŸ‘€), and to @pagie94 for his support and for trusting me with it. And of course to @rayholman12 , who designed the original Fugitive costume - the giant whose shoulders I stand on. šŸ™‡šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Looking forward to seeing it out in the world. But for now, here’s some stunning artwork by @leebinding šŸ’œšŸ’œāž•šŸ‘’

Had a brilliant time at the Season 21 Collection boxset screening of Warriors of the Deep hosted by the @britishfilminstitute and @bbcstudios . It was a real honour to speak to the audience about the props and the work we did for the release. It was fantastic seeing everyone’s hard work come together on the big screen and get such a positive reaction from the audience, and it was lovely catching up with so many people throughout the day. Really special as well to have the chance to bring along some of the props from the trailer and Warriors reshoots to be on display, alongside an original Silurian Communicator from 1984. Huge thanks again to @petemctighe , @russell.minton.1 and @sammyboy_hunt for all their support and help. And thank you to everyone who took these photos and sent them to me as I didn’t take many throughout the day! šŸ«¶šŸ»

The Season 21 collection boxset trailer starring Peter Davison and Janet Fielding is out on the official Doctor Who YouTube Channel! šŸ’«āœØ I’ll let the trailer speak for itself before discussing some of the other elements I was involved in, but I am dead proud of how it’s turned out and of all the hard work from everyone on the project. And of course, I am eternally grateful to the wonderful @petemctighe for letting me live out an unreasonable amount of childhood dreams in one fell swoop. šŸ’™šŸ’™

Had a fun and very impromptu adventure to Cardiff to salvage original set dressing from the entrance to the Torchwood Hub, with the kind permission of Mermaid Quay and BBC Studios. The idea came to me last week after spotting parts of the Hub entrance still visible behind the remains of Ianto’s Shrine. I was amazed some of the original details were still surviving nearly 20 years later, and with redevelopment plans underway, I realised there was a real chance they could simply be scrapped. Whilst it’s only a few smaller dressing pieces so far, it’s nice to be able to ensure some element of this set survives. Especially as it’s something many of us have actively been in person to over the last two decades. Sadly, the larger pieces couldn’t be removed this time, but hopefully we can return for them later. I was especially hoping to save the newspapers in the windows, but they’re now so fragile that the glass itself seems to be the only thing holding them together. Fingers crossed the windows can eventually be salvaged intact šŸ¤žšŸ»

Had an absolutely lovely day watching the Daleks’ Master Plan at Riverside Studios yesterday, sharing in the joy of the returned episodes with friends old and new. Huge thanks to my wonderful friend @petemctighe for the spare ticket and for bringing me along, always a delight. Though sadly, the story of our day together has no telesnaps to document it… a running theme we’ll have to work on! Massive thanks as well to Film is Fabulous for their incredible work in recovering the episodes and making all of this possible, and to our brilliant host of the screening @toby.hadoke who guided us through a series of panels. Every panellist was fascinating to listen to and added so much to the day too! I was inspired to throw together a Taranium core while watching the episode on iPlayer the day before, more as a bit of fun than a serious prop build. It was made in under a day using whatever I had lying around the workshop (the perfectionist in me will definitely revisit it properly at some point). But it went down a treat, and even Peter Purves had a bit of fun with it! šŸ˜‚

Some photos from my 36 hour round trip to Cologne in January! šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ Was a flying visit, and straight off the back of an all nighter, as I was there to drop off a prop at RTL for one of their new projects. It was a last minute commission, so I had to deliver it by hand as there wasn’t time to courier it. Gave me a nice excuse to visit Germany and tick it off the list. It was amazing to see the Cologne Cathedral (Kƶlner Dom). Less amazing was the 15 minute climb up the stairs to the top, but I had the moral support of a fellow solo traveller from Australia who was travelling Germany. We teamed up to make the climb and were thoroughly knackered by the time we got up there, but it was cool seeing Cologne from above.

The Ride DINOSAUR (and DinoLand U.S.A in general) just went extinct as the ride and area of Animal Kingdom have closed permanently after opening initially in 1998. This is a great shame as it was always a childhood favourite of mine. Both the ride and the film! Here’s a few photos and videos from my last trip to Florida. On the ride you would embark on a prehistoric tour aboard a Time Rover to save an Iguanadon from extinction. šŸ¦–šŸ¦•ā˜„ļøšŸ’„

I started compiling slides and slides of photos from this year, but about 60 images in I realised I’d already posted most of my favourites. I actually managed to stay pretty on top of sharing things as they happened this year for once. So instead, here are some photos I didn’t post at the time, which were taken on the day of my first meeting at the BBC. A day that quietly kickstarted a chain reaction of amazing opportunities. I’d gone along dressed in my now decade old prom suit hoping to make a good impression and inspected the Dalek I’d later repair for TVC/The Whoniverse Show. I was also on my way to drop off the brand-new Hammer prop I’d made for Gladiators Series 3, hence why it joined me for this jaunt! Looking back, it marked a real turning point. Earlier this year I was at the lowest point I’ve ever been mentally, and didn’t really imagine I’d be heading into 2026 at all, let alone with so many wonderful things behind me and more still to come. So I have to say thank you to friends old and new for being there, for the support, the kindness, the laughs and for just believing in me when I couldn’t. I know everyone’s been carrying their own things this year too, and I’m proud of all of us for getting through what has been a rubbish year in places. I love you all šŸ’™šŸ’™ We also lost my Nan just before my birthday and she’s very much in my thoughts as we head into the first new year without her. šŸ¤

Merry Christmas everyone! šŸŽ„ As it’s the 20th anniversary of The Christmas Invasion, I thought I’d do a post about recently lending a hand on Whoniverse Show Episode 5. I was just there to do a drop-off but couldn’t resist offering a hand to dress the mannequins in the original Tenth Doctor pyjamas and Sycorax costumes - huge thanks to @wgarrood for letting me loose on the props and costumes, it’s always a joy to get to see these things in person! I also lent some props that were destined for the @gallifreycabaret pantomime, with @marianatrenchdrag ’s Dalek headpiece ending up on the Christmas tree and the Vortex Manipulator featured in the wall display. It was especially cool seeing David Tennant appear in the episode flanked by the Dalek I’d recently repaired and the Weeping Angel, which I’d reassembled for Halloween. (Unfortunately cropped out on this post I just realised šŸ˜…)

We take these wins, thanks @gossjam & @scotthandcock1984 for letting us do random voices in this audio! And extra cool to be credited. My career of being bit parts killed by Daleks is really taking off this month in big ways!
