IWD MEMBERS SUPPER CLUB & DISCUSSION. (Sutm’For The Ladies)
“Accelerate Action”—this year’s International Women’s Day theme—reminded us of the urgency and power of collective momentum. At Sutm’Light, it was the perfect time to celebrate our third IWD event, but this time host our first members’ supper club and discussion, a milestone that felt both timely and necessary.
We embraced the importance of creating intentional spaces where meaningful conversations thrive. This gathering wasn’t just about discussion; it was about reimagining how we engage, connect, and indulge as a community. By curating experiences that center depth, joy, and inclusivity, we continue to redefine what it means to come together.
Here’s to moving with purpose, making space for impact, and accelerating action in every way that matters. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our International Men’s Day Panel. It was powerful to witness so many people come together with a genuine desire to listen, understand, and engage with the real stories and experiences of men in our world today.
We all have a role to play when navigating conversations around patriarchy — not in opposition, but in collaboration. At Sutm’Light, our mission is to continue fostering a culture rooted in empathy, honesty, and meaningful dialogue: a space where listening comes before speaking, and where understanding is the foundation for real change.
A massive thank you to our incredible panellists for their vulnerability, wisdom and presence — your voices made this moment unforgettable.
As we move forward, we remain committed to providing meaningful access, support, and opportunities for our community and members. Together, we build stronger.

Big up @island.studio.space on their amazing space!
An incredible evening at Beyond the Screen - a space where creativity, insight, and honesty truly met. It was inspiring to be in the room with such phenomenal panellists, each sharing not only how they’ve navigated their respective industries, but also offering real perspective on the power behind storytelling - who shapes the narratives we consume, and the responsibility that comes with that.
These conversations felt necessary. Thought-provoking, layered, and grounded in lived experience - a reminder that storytelling extends far beyond what we see on screen; it shapes culture, identity, and understanding.
A special moment from the evening was the exclusive screening of Father’s Son (Omo Baba) by Nelson - a deeply moving and beautifully crafted short film. Honest, intimate, and profoundly reflective, it left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.
Grateful to everyone who contributed to such a meaningful and impactful night. The conversation doesn’t stop here.

Always a big thanks to @weareqube for hosting us!
Father’s Son (Omo Baba) is a true classic - an evocative, heartfelt, and deeply honest short film from Nelson Adeosun that beautifully captures the essence of his relationship with his father, while speaking to something far greater.
This poignant documentary delves into the complexities of the father–son bond, exploring the generational impact of upbringing, trauma, and the quiet weight of inherited pain. Initiated by Nelson himself, the film becomes a journey of understanding - tracing his father Adedayo’s past to uncover the emotional patterns that have shaped their lives.
In doing so, Father’s Son not only tells a personal story, but reflects a universal one - about healing, accountability, and the courage it takes to break cycles and redefine legacy.
Grateful for a truly powerful moment bringing together such incredible professionals and creatives.
Hearing how each of them has navigated their respective worlds was both inspiring and grounding - a reminder that the journey is rarely linear, but always intentional. What stood out most was the depth of conversation around what it really means to speak beyond the screen: to not just create, but to shape narratives, influence culture, and tell stories that carry weight and responsibility.
Through their lens, we were challenged to think about who holds the pen, what stories are being told, and how we each play a part in shifting the narrative.
A special experience - and only the beginning of many more conversations to come.

Beyond The Screen, was such a powerful conversation honest, and deeply needed. We explored the influence of storytelling, who shapes the narratives around us, and the responsibility that comes with that power - alongside the real journeys of building a career in this space.
Moments like this remind us why these spaces matter. The dialogue doesn’t stop here - we must continue creating, questioning, and holding space for conversations that shape culture in meaningful ways.
