🍄 Mushroom substrate improves soil structure, moisture retention and provides nutrients for plants.
While enriching the soil at our school sites this has also opened up some fun learning opportunities for our middle school enrichments!

On Saturday, May 16, we’re partnering with Denver Rotary Clubs and incredible local organizations for a one-stop community impact event at West High School’s school garden. This is the perfect chance to sustainably declutter while directly supporting community programs across Denver.
✨ Bring items to donate:
🪴 Used garden tools
🌱 Extra seeds + seedlings
🪵 Opened bags of mulch or soil
🚲 Old bikes (all sizes welcome)
💻 Defunct electronics + cords
Your donations will be reused, refurbished, redistributed, or responsibly recycled through local partners including SustainEd Farms, @bluestarrecyclers , @wearehopecycle , @coloradoprofirefirghters , and @hauldenremoval .

It’s amazing to see all the hardwork we’ve all put into this garden get closer to the finish line. Last Saturday was busy!
We got SO MUCH done at the @extremecommunitymakeover at @kepnerbeaconms and Munroe Elementary. A massive thank you to every community member who came out and put it some amazing work.
We also had so much fun at the @dpssteamexpo ! The baby goats from @dgsnorthfield loved seeing everyone.

The last week of early spring programming included peas, some chilly weather, starting the FloCrit Mural, and worms!
