For the past 13 years, our truck (the Golden Knight) has been the backbone of Work Days. However, the truck is nearing the end of its life. ECM needs a newer-to-us truck before we are left without a truck. Thanks to the generosity of the Viking Foundation and a number of individuals who have already contributed to this campaign, we are almost 3/4 of the way to our $15,000 goal! We would like to cross the finish line this month, so we can get the new truck in place for summer projects! πŸ”— Contribute to the truck campaign at the "Give" link in the bioπŸ”— #ExtremeCommunityMakeover #ECMDenver #Donate #Fundraiser #TruckNeeded

Tonight is Supper Club! Beef gyro with basmati rice and Greek salad and baklava from Sawa Mediterranean Catering. Sawa was founded during Covid as a community effort providing meals for nonprofits and families in need. Tonight, Supper Club participants are getting either beef gyro with basmati rice and greek salad, chicken shawarma with basmati rice and greek salad, or falafel with tahini sauce with hummus and veggie sticks. #SupperClub #DenverCatering #ExtremeCommunityMakeover #ECMDenver

πŸ”¦ Board SpotlightπŸ”¦ Meet Jeremy Jones, who joined the Board of Directors earlier this year and also joined the Projects Team. Jeremy was in search of a board opportunity based in Denver that offered an active, hands-on way to get involved. He found Extreme Community Makeover and now he can make a difference through both the board and the hands-on work that drives the mission and impact. πŸ”— Read more about Jeremy at the "Blog" link in the bio πŸ”— #ExtremeCommunityMakeover #ECMDenver #BoardOfDirectors #DenverNonprofit

The annual Go: Westwood project is one of our biggest days to kick off the spring season every year. Check out how the day came together in this fun video. And then check out the calendar to find a Work Day that you can join, so together we can make 2026 one of the best years yet! πŸ”— Sign up to volunteer at the "Volunteer" link in the bioπŸ”— #ExtremeCommunityMakeover #ECMDenver #DenverVolunteers #Community

πŸ”¦ Community Spotlight: Councilwoman Jamie Torres πŸ”¦ @councilwomantorres represents Denver's district 3, which encompasses four ECM neighborhoods. She has served since 2019 and her family has lived in the Villa Park neighborhood since she was a child. She is an incredible advocate and partner in the neighborhoods she represents, and often contributes with both financial support for specific events (like Go: Westwood) and also with coordinating requests (like for park permits). The office of Councilwoman Torres recently helped get an additional large item pickup from the DOTI Solid Waste Management Division in the Westwood neighborhood in preparation for the Go: Westwood project last Saturday, May 2. Thank you Councilwoman Torres! #ExtremeCommunityMakeover #ECMDenver #CommunitySpotlight
