While advertising is our mainstay, we’ve been slowly exploring other formats. 𝘼𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖, our first documentary set in Kashmir around the Amarnath pilgrimage, looks at the shifting balance between faith, ecology, and livelihoods in one of India’s most fragile ecosystems. A non-fiction project is a slow-brewing journey, and we’re deeply thankful to have recently received the prestigious @bitchitracollective grant and mentorship and to be selected for @greenstoriespitch , two incredible platforms for documentary filmmakers. For every time I rolled my eyes at a crying kid on an airplane, I got a script with one in it. And, somehow many of them make it to my favourites.

A few children at first. A few more every year, because of you. In 4 years, 400 children stayed in school. This year, we’re raising fees for 125 children. For many families, ₹9,500 a year decides if a child stays in school and has the future they dream of. Let’s do this together, again? 🤍

The story contrasts the lives of Abhi, a young man adrift in the monotony of urban existence, and Deepa, his housekeeper, who comes each day to clean up after him. Though they physically occupy the same apartment at different times, the space they inhabit is experienced in vastly different ways—Abhi rushing through his days, and Deepa finding rare moments of peace in the solitude of his empty home.
