Mutual Aid Supporting Creatives (MASC) is an initiative designed for artists to sell their work and live sustainably while also contributing to an emergency fund for fellow creatives.
MASC is an initiative designed to fund a sustainable and equitable future by connecting creatives with the resources they need and deserve.
Creatives historically face barriers to economic prosperity. Our time and efforts are chronically undervalued despite the widespread consumption of creative media and the ubiquity of art in most people’s lives everyday.
MASC provides a solution by fostering a creative community of care that generates revenue for artists, exemplifying the kind of collective action needed in order for us to manifest an equitable future. MASC is the solution for the ever increasing inaccessibility of basic needs and for the challenges artists face in our attempts to “earn a living” from our respective practice.
We are still in the early stages of this project so stay tuned for further developments and ways you can join us in supporting creatives to thrive while cultivating Communal Care and Collective Autonomy!
