We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy:) For the purpose of finding community-led solutions to effectually respond to and address crisis situations, to support mutual aid efforts in our GTA neighbourhoods and, especially, to meaningfully and practically engage in actions towards Collective Autonomy, we are compiling and sharing these resources in the hopes they might be helpful to anyone who is part of a community led initiative, anyone doing activist work and/or anyone who would like to have access to materials and resources around alternatives to calling the police in the GTA. 👉LINK TO DOC IN @arthouseto.mutualaid BIO! 👉Download the PDF to access hyperlinks in the Doc We began compiling this doc in August 2020, a couple years before 211 was a thing, and it is by no means exhaustive. It is essential that we connect with the appropriate people on the ground in each respective field to ensure that this resource authentically and comprehensively reflects trusted services and supports available, both for immediate needs and longer term needs. Any resources we have added to date that are problematic, please inform us! If you or your org prefer NOT to be included please let us know! We want this resource to connect people with safe, trusted supports and organisations. Although this is a GTA-based resource, we have gathered material from resources around the world to inform the knowledge-based, educational categories as much of this information is universal by nature, ie. harm reduction principles/methodologies, de-escalation training, activist toolkits, etc. There is still so much more to add and this is where we need your help! u heard it here folks 🦋 im a 4 yr kensington resident and this is the truth! if u live in dt toronto, it is highly possible that your neighbours, many who are low-income, immigrants, and/or elders in your area collect used alcohol bottles and cans to trade in for income. a small way you can give back to people in your community is by collecting your used alcohol cans/bottles, rinsing them out, and placing them on the street in a clean bag for them to pick up on their weekly rounds. neighbourhoods where ive met people who do this job include: kensington market, the village (barbara hall park), allen gardens, moss park, and by the waterfront! pls start doing this if you don’t already, it can really make a difference in someone’s life 🖤 ty dear @feyfortune for helping make this video 🌸

Yipeng you are a remarkable, incomparable human being! The work you have done on the ground in Gaza, the advocacy you continue to tirelessly pursue and the example you show to medical professionals here and abroad is admirable. The OMA should be taking your lead rather than silencing you. Thank you SO much to Janet, founder of @collingwood4palestine for the incredibly important work you are doing in my hometown to bring awareness about the g3n0sid3 in Pal and for offering space to witness this incredible production.
