And last but absolutely not least, Ms. Olivia got gold and silver this weekend. I lost track of how many matches she had, but she was a busy girl all day. She had two subs, both kimuras (her favorite).
Olivia continue to show up, work almost exclusively with kids bigger than her, and the hard work is really starting to show. This was her best competition yet.

Kaden also had a phenomenal performance this weekend at @nagafighter . He went 4-2, winning silver and bronze. Kaden runs into the same kid every tournament who always takes gold. What’s impressive is how much closer their matches are against one another each time. I know Kaden will be the one coming out on top in no time.
Kaden had his best performance at Naga in terms of how he fought his matches. He’s fighting harder and getting more strategic. We are so proud of his progression.

Sophia had a crazy good @nagafighter performance this weekend. She went out and subbed (armbar) her first no-gi opponent and won her championship round via points. She controlled the pace the entire match.
She then competed in the gi, winning her first match via submission (another armbar - her favorite). She lost a tough fought finals match for silver.

We couldn’t be more proud of her performance. She represented SuperFly and herself amazingly. She’s been training with the adults now and the hard work is showing. 👏👏👏

Spent our Saturday morning at Superfly Jiu Jitsu doing what we love educating athletes on the importance of proper protection. We had the opportunity to speak with both the kids competition team and the adult class about the significance of custom fitted mouthguards in jiu jitsu.
From better shock absorption and a secure fit to improved breathing and communication, having a custom mouthguard can make all the difference especially for those stepping on the mats to compete. When you’ve invested time into training, it only makes sense to invest in protecting your smile the right way.
